Facts, “try to understand we are limited”. Try to understand Tony you wasted resources on stupid bs. And the whole part about the “team being excited to make a character” just pisses me off insanely. He literally says we got an extra meme character because the character devs cared more about dicking off then actually doing their jobs. They made a character in a weekend but it takes MONTHS for any other character to be developed. Yea okay, some serious issues with that story, either fibs are being told or people were getting away with doing nothing on the clock. And so the dev team was excited to release a joke but never excited about any of the actual cool adds we got like joker, raven? So it sounds like your dev team never gave a honest shit about the glame and only found it fun when they got to do memes, UI shaggy, LeBron James, and then when people are seeing MVS come back and are excited to see what new characters will drop they get… banana guard….. So over a weekend they made BG… as a joke essentially and Tony said “NAH WE CAN MAKE MONEY OFF THAT GANG” yea cool good job rewarding that hard work. Meanwhile we never got major asked characters like daffy, Ben 10, I could go on and on. So we got crap adds because of not wanting to spend money for bigger IPs and the dev team putting more effort in when just fucking around on the weekends? Nice love to hear it really 🙄 3:01 that’s some fall-guys level developing. “Sorry your not getting your most requested characters because WE aren’t really feeling that” yea wonder why that have to shut down. Also not at the expense of another character… oh so he was just free? No IP cost like they bitched about for any character we actually wanted? Worse if the season 1 was focusing on villains they could have added ice king or the lich instead of a weekend character that is not even the peanut butter jelly emote was justified. But also they could have added instead of Black Adam, Nubia they could've added Ben 10, Darkseid or hell Gandalf and Harry Potter but no, they added banana guard with cringe voice and voice lines that sounds like the devs wanted so bad to make it relevant. Also the dubs for other lenguages like the latin Spanish one didn't even had the original voice actors for example Rick instead of having it's voice actor, they putted the ugly dub of the space jam cameo that didn't even sounded like Rick and same with Morty.

So many of the games problems from a UI and gameplay perspective had to be from the move to UE5. There was nothing really wrong with how the game played or looked in the beta, they should've just built upon that. We probably wouldn't even be in this position right now if that was the case and to be honest, engine switches isn't a publisher call. That's a development aka Tony Huynh call.

I honestly believe most of this was Tony's fault. Tony decides to shut down the game to work on stuff nobody asked for, the only thing that was bad about alpha were the inconsistent updates and bad servers. I don't think anyone asked for multiversus to slow down their gameplay and make boring rifts that don't even feel rewarding. If only they actually listened to the right people

All I got from everything is Tony is doing damage control because at the end of the day he made characters he wanted and not what was a benefit for the game. Going out the way to basically wash his hands to say he had nothing to do with anything and wasted resources to try and make people pay money instead of just using the resources to make money. I agree get threats to be offed is much no one deserves it but to try and play like you did and ain't had nothing to do with things when most things don't add up is pretty scummy.

It’s so sad because most of the dev team actually do seem passionate and hardworking for Multiversus. It’s just that they were hampered by bad leadership ie Tony Hyun. I really hope the rumors are true that Warner Bros. were trying to fire Tony when they acquired PFG. Then maybe Multiversus can come back with better leadership.

Multiversus has so much potential. With popular character picks, perfected gameplay, have all characters unlocked, better marketing, strong battlepasses, and lower monetization costs, MVS would THRIVE! So much that could be said. Definitely lack of communication, bad marketing. They shouldn’t have been silent during the hiatus. Stuff like slower gameplay on relaunch could’ve been avoided if they updated us once or twice a month during the down time. We would’ve told them NO to the gameplay changes & they would’ve kept it closer to the beta movement having that feedback. The relaunch would’ve gone over better.

It's crazy for a CEO and Lead dev to say that they don't have the power we think they have. Can't blame WB they have only owned PFG for about 4 months. Everything before that is 100% Tony. Putting all those ridiculous costumes/time gate hurdles in rifts is all Tony. Rifts were supposed to be for casuals, and they made it annoying. Casuals hate monitization hurdles. Games live or die depending on its casual fanbase.

Even if I stopped playing MultiVersus because shields I hate that update so much I didn't want a clone of Smash I liked it the way it was. I was hoping game woulda lasted until Superman 2025 movie woulda loved a Superman event with movie variant and whatever else maybe even a stage. Can't trust any of these leakers positive or negative, how we know they authentic just because they get information correct sometimes doesn't mean everything they say is true. We could see some stuff happening in real time like PFG stopped tweeting on their account differently from beta to main game. We seen Tony stop tweeting out we seen the focus to rifts to then completely moving away from character event rifts to changes to how characters unlocked. One way or the other something changed in development and not for good, we seen overly strong characters have minimal changes for months and characters that didn't need nerfed get nerfed so much odd stuff happened with MVS. Whatever happened though I'll always have good memories of the game when I played even with some of the negative, gave a good guy Superman to play with that wasn't Injustice. this is my copy paste I commented to another youtuber but didn't want to type it all out again

In the Beta Multiversus got a lot of momentum and recognition. Jumping to Unreal5 was imo a waste of time and resources... oh well see you all in season 5

This dude is what was wrong with the multiversus community. Too many people cried and were little Boo Boo Bee Boos. Almost got to a redemption with the statement as a part of Tony talking about the death threats, but sighing and acting like PFG was actually pulling all the strings when WB is notorious for canceling projects for tax write offs. PFG was hyper aware of the people who complained loudly on twitter and complaining because they were the loudest voices in the room. This video makes me okay with the game I have nearly 1k hours in dying.
