I live not far away from the mumbles, but inland and a visit is a treat, the Cafe you walked past next to the amusement arcade is wonderful. The staff in the RNLI shop are really friendly and you are permitted access to view the lifeboat in the modern slipway/station.

Thank you for the sound of the waves, the gulls and the memory of the smell of silted water and fresh fish. Of excited children's voices and day's end of fish and chips and the weary car ride home. You were very unfortunate in your choice of day our weather is very mild on this side of Wales; I live a bit inland slightly south east of the mumbles and am there at all times of year but mainly slightly off- peak and have never been cold. With the exception of the Christmas fair! I am in a wheelchair so that is saying something.
