Another enjoyable video. I have walked the Caswell to Langland a few times. Seals can be spotted often on this section. Great that the weather stayed fine.

Glad you enjoyed, I did see a couple of seals under the pier a few years ago.

Thank you! How beautiful. My childhood holidays were here, with my lovely late Mum who was born in John Street, one of nine children. I'm going back this Summer as it is my happy place.

By the way I think in general the beach huts derive from carted huts that they used at the seafront so victorians fully clothed changed into their bathing costumes where the sea meets the sand .guess they got tired of carting them around and that’s where the idea of the beach huts stationed at the top of beaches come from .
@flydriveexplore2 жыл бұрын
I don't know how long those current beach huts have been there but I've seen old pics of versions along the bay including the old bathing machines on wheels.
@pauljones13502 жыл бұрын
@@flydriveexplore about a hundred years at top of beach the huts have been in some form or other .idea comes from the cart with shacks on pushed down to seafront

You give it a seal of approval, such a nice days weather you seem to have had, was surprised to learn the big apple is one of many that once stood, 100 years old soon, loved the summerhouse story. You put such detail into your trips excellent.

The Mumbles 'train' was in fact the world's fFIRST Tram! Now trams are al over Europe, and seem so modern, but they began in the Mumbles. What did the council do? Well throw it in the bin of course

I thought there was one of those apples in Porthcawl. I think it was in the fair but I could be wrong as when you get older the memory. Does in my case anyway. Never heard of the breasts, lol!
@flydriveexplore2 жыл бұрын
Apparently there was one in Porthcawl in the 1930s but it must have gone long before I was around.
