More like sort-of-were. They were a big part of San Francisco's '90s garage-surf-punk scene. I think they scrape themselves back together once in a while for one of the BFD outdoor shows, but those have been on hold since covid. Anyway, they were totally insane fore sure.

as much as i appreciate this band artistically, this song feels off when sang by a man. when the pleasure seekers wrote it, it felt like more of a feminist thing. when sung by a man, it gives off a vibe more like "alcohol induced wife beatings" if you get what i mean.. woah, imagine if there was a band called the alcohol induced wife beatings,, never mind, that sounds horrible lol
