Agreed. A lot of those movies came out when I was a teenager and it was refreshing to see such a good actor in such funny/masculine roles, which were not common for the time. Most action heroes of the time were very stoic and "no-nonsense".

The "Human Hamster Wheel" was used like a crane. Mostly to get heavy rocks and other heavy building materials up to the workers at higher levels when building walls for forts and castles before the invention of machinery that could do the same kinds of tasks.

I remember my Grandpa took my brothers and I to see this in theater when I was 6. Grandpa was not allowed to take us theater for awhile. Well we learned not to tell Mom when we went to the movies.
