I remember riding this when I was 9 and I had my eyes closed the entire time because of how scary it was. This is my first time seeing the ride in its entirety and I know that I would have definitely left the ride crying if I had kept my eyes open. I loved the ride nonetheless.

Not sure why people are comparing this ride to the one in Orlando. Universal Studios Hollywood is an actual operating movie and television studio. It was never meant to be a theme park. Many of the attractions have to be built far enough away from studio and the backlot. Any roller-coaster rides and attractions built near the working studio area have to be contained inside a soundstage environment, which is basically how the Mummy ride is built, so that it does not disturb any movies or television shows shooting nearby. Same goes for Jurassic Park and Transformers: The Ride. So yes, Orlando is better. Hollywood just doesn't have the room for these roller-coaster monstrosities, nor do they want the noise that comes with it.

Let me tell you, the first time I rode this ride I was a mess (even though I was 16 at the time) I probably annoyed so many people with my ridiculous screaming. Even to this day when I return to the park I dread this ride... but I think it’s so well made and it is somewhat fun. Wish I had a stronger stomach 😭

Having been on the Mummys in both CA and FL... The CA one would be a really solid ride if it weren't for the end. It's not an ending, it just stops. I can't believe that Universal couldn't figure out a little magic to add to that turn table room to make it seem like more of a finale.

The one at Universal Orlando is VERY different. It is pitch black! It is muuuuuuch faster AND longer. Even the line going to the boarding area is dark, I don't know why they turned the lights out, I had trouble finding the stairs! But I can tell from this video that the Orlando version is a lot better.

I love this ride! always a go-to at Universal Studios Hollywood. a while back, at the end of the ride, they would spin us around in a cloud of fog/smoke ~ That was awesome ~ unfortunately, they no longer do that.. oh well... still love this ride

I'm excited because I finally got annual passes so now I can go whenever I want even though its kind of a long drive . I will never forget the day I got on that roller coaster without knowing that it was one. I thought it was a museum or something like that, do not blame me, at that time I had no idea of English, nor did I give myself to ask, so I told my parents that it would be fun, in the end it is one of the favorite movies of my father. When almost at the end ... I read: High-speed roller coaster. My parents almost killed me and we almost died in there. But it was a confusing and fun experience. I will never forget it😂🤷🏻‍♀️

The green status lights in the track should not be visible to the guests. It's a distraction from the suspension of belief -- you're trying to put on an immersive show -- all tech elements should be obscured as much as possible.

I went there on a feild trip but didnt go on this specific ride because i was scared of it so badly I decided to skip it. Now im upset i didnt get on. (p.s) I just eemembered why, when I went there a group from another school said someones arm got choped off and I swear I saw someone with one arm operating one of the rides so I was terrified. You cant blame me for not wanting my arm missing. also I was in elementary so yhea I beleaved that story, especially with the one armed guy. I just hope that his arm wasnt actually taken off by a roller coaster.

If someone likes the Orlando one better that's their opinion. If someone likes the Hollywood one better, that's their opinion. You can't prove opinions wrong so just stop. :/
