Since this is the Muppet Show's 40th birthday, they should do a special like this again. Especially since Disney considers it a wonderful franchise. It would be great to see all these characters celebrate the Muppets and the legacy of our friend, Jim Henson. When my daughter was a senior @ Mississippi School for the Arts, she & about 7-8 other seniors got invited to come the studio for Mississippi Public Broadcasting, to create their own puppets & record it for the Jim Henson experience when it was @ museum in Jackson. It was amazing to see my daughter & her classmates’s puppets in action on the small screen!!! The museum had it running on a loop, so it played the entire time the exhibit was in Jackson. I was a very proud mom that day when I saw that. It was amazing!

I love how they played the closing theme live, it sounded really good!! It would have been nice if they had played the opening theme live as well, but you get what you get and you don't get upset!! Rest Jim Henson's soul, he created such amazing characters and just seeing him do shows like The Muppet Show, and seeing how he could bring a frog and friends to life, and they made you feel like you can do or be anything. Songs like, Rainbow Connection, The Magic Store, and even silly songs like Mahna Mahna, have changed so many lives, all because of one man's dream and passion to make people laugh!! I wish they would bring back MuppetFest, the Muppets just aren't the same without Jim!!

Fired unrightfully, for speaking his mind. In his fellow muppet performers own words and having met him myself, he’s the most genuine, welcoming and kind hearted soul. He just didn’t feel the direction abc wanted to go with the muppets wasn’t the best, but not the worst either. So the situation wasn’t even bad, he just got fired for it. Frank oz thinks that the muppet performers should have more of a say in the direction they go with the muppets so I’ll always be on Steve’s side.

It's "Follow Me", actually (there's also "I Will Follow You/Me" from a youthfully exuberant yet still haplessly misguided Matt to his own perpetually aggravated uncle Gobo, after whom the Gobo of our main 5 Fraggles is actually named out of Uncle Matt's misplaced fondness for the elder Fraggle even despite the senior Gobo's understandably grouchy demeanor [likely stemming from his adventurous nephew's jinx-worthy clumsiness that nearly almost always resulted in him getting hurt, simply because Matt just will not leave well enough alone, even during those times that he probably should've heeded his uncle's abrasive form of advice] & then from Matt unto himself upon recieving a hero's praise, even though he nearly causes the extinction of all Fraggle kind due to his clumsiness accidentally killing the mushroom crop that Fraggles subsisted on before radishes were discovered [once the large boulder blocking the entrance to the Gorg's garden was rolled away, Matt introduced the radish to Fraggle culinary history], which somehow meant Matt had unknowingly made up for his absent-minded buffoonery by finding a new primary food source that also brought the industrious Doozers into Fraggle Rock too, given that Doozer stick constructions are made of finely grounded radish dust with condiment flavor texturing added). The "Follow Me" montage was also repurposed for head Muppet writer Jerry Juhl, who was largely responsible for the warmth & integrity fans associate with anything Jim Henson ever created, when he passed, since he had always felt a deeper, more impactful kinship with _Fraggle Rock_ than he did any other Muppet/Henson creation, especially considering its impetus as Jim Henson's first truly international series birthed out of world-builder/character designer Michael K. Frith's youth exploring the colorful caves of his native Bermuda combined with the aim to use the musical program's reliance on globalized interconnectivity to show impressionable children & young-at-heart grown-ups how we're all part of each other, with its end goal being the loftily noble yet seemingly unattainable ambition to stop all wars & subsequently bring about world peace.

Nerd trivia : Kermit's song "Being Green" was written by Joe Raposo who also composed the theme tune to "Sesame Street", and "Sing" which was recorded by Karen Carpenter.
