Hey, Guy! Drive-In Dave Lounder here, co-founder of The Drive-In Theatre Preservation Society. Gone to, worked at, managed, and operated Drive-Ins over the last 40 years! Loved your video! Couple minor corrections: The marquee is the 'neon' sign at the road /entrance. The sign you spoke of is more of a box office canopy sign. LET'S ALL GO TO THE LOBBY was shown at Drive-Ins, although Drive-Ins have a Snack Bar, not a lobby, like indoor theatres do. The holes the movie is projected through are the portholes. #ILoveTheMuppets - Yes, I did watch all the way through. Keep up the great work, Sir! God Bless! Please tell Mahoning Mark I said hello!!

Earlville, IL. Still has their drive-in, they had to switch to digital a few years back though. Always a good time.

#ILoveTheMuppets I've never been to the Mahoning Drive-In Theater, but I've been to other drive-ins in Canada and South Africa and had great times with my family watching various movies back in the day including seeing 'Star Wars' in 1977 when it was brand-spanking new and no one could possibly have anticipated just how important it would become in shaping pop culture. :)

Rest in peace, Jeff Mattox, the owner of and projectionist at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater who sadly, passed away just last week. He treated his employees and business partners like family and brought so many magical memories to audiences over the years and his legacy will live on for decades to come. God bless you, Jeff.

I live in the area and the owners didn't have the money to convert to digital. They tried to win a contest that was running through the whole USA to get it converted for free. but they did not win, but as you see that didn't stop them still going strong today.

i love the drive in. my favorite memory was years ago going to becky's drive in they gave pony rides. the closest one to me is shankweilers.

Awesome. My family is all from the Lehighton area, then my parents moved to Royersford, now I live in East Coventry. It's cool to see you covering all these areas. Also, pronounced in the proper Pennsylvania Dutch accent of my grandparents, it's Le-HOY-ton, in American, lee-HIGH-ton. 🙂 (Thanks for the chat at the Phoenixville Goodwill parking lot the other day, it was a fun surprise to meet you in person).

The Drive In near me just closed, well when I say just the last two films they showed were Mario and DnD so kind of close to now.

If they ever had them, yes. Most drive ins these days just use a radio frequency though.

There's multiple drive ins over here but they do has they do dnd show nothing but the classic b movies and kaiju ones . I've yet to visit one yet .

I can remember going to the drive in when I was a kid. I went in my pajamas because by the time the second movie started I was fast asleep because it was so late and I was 5. I can remember playing on the drive ins playground in my jammies. Good times.
