You could see how devastated the father Guiseppe was in the photographs. When you said he died right after of a heart attack, it didn't seem surprising. You could see he was wracked with sadness.

I was a teenager when this happened and remember it so vividly. It shocked our whole state, and it was the start of my interest in true crime as I followed every news story waiting to hear that they caught the person responsible. I still hold out hope that one day they’ll find who did it. Thank you for sharing Victoria’s case ❤

Seventeen stab wounds. Brutal. She bled out, poor Victoria. My cousin (male) bled out on a California beach. Tasmanian police never preserved the footprints. I’m sorry for the terrible, tragic way in which this kind lady passed. I agree Victoria’s father passed on due to grief and horror. RIP Victoria & Giuseppe.

I hate it when officials don't rush what they can and preserve as much evidence as possible before the tide destoyed evidence. They should always take pictured! The nature of the attack, all of the stabbing, seems like she could have been attacked by a female. As you narrated it sounded like a crime of passion. It's quite sad that this young woman died. Thank you for all of your hard work.

@@eadweard. Like I said, I think it was a crime of passion. I am thinking it was a jealous rage. I am not saying that men can't have jealousy and commit stabbing fits, but it just seems more likely that a woman would continue to stab at the back of this woman even after all of the frontal damage.

Poor Victoria, I feel so bad for the family. I live in Tasmania, such a terrible thing to happen. For a little island we have had some terrible things happen. Murder and disappearances of tourists and of course-the Port Arthur Massacre which changed our country's gun laws. But it really is a beautiful island, it just baffles me that things have happened here.

@jamesl9371 No the attack was definitely personal. 17 stabs are hard to do unless you're feeling some kind of strong emotion at the person. Stabbing in itself is very personal as you have to be up close and personal with the person you stab. More than likely someone she knew killed her.

Just a thought: did they actually check if Hilda‘s knife match the stab wounds? 😬 It‘s weird that Hild was carrying the knife with her to protect herslef, then Victoria is mistaken for Hilda and Victoria is stabbed? Can it be that Hilda actually was there?
@killertoxicity8604
@killertoxicity8604 Жыл бұрын
I think Hilda and her husband did it. They inserted themselves into the investigation very quickly and even gave clues that lead to someone getting questioned. I couldn't fathom why they killed her but my guess is some disagreement or other. Personally I feel maybe they wanted her to be their 3rd in the marriage as my own research into this showed that Victoria and the two got along so well they were like family. Maybe Hilda got jealous that her husband liked Victoria more? Who knows but I feel like there's more to the story with Hilda and her husband

i think like many others here, suspect Hilda has more involvement with this case than she lead on. first red flag was the two witnesses claiming they though the girl was hilda until later told otherwise.. and funnily enough Hilda was at that same beach at the same time, maybe it was her walking along the beach, and maybe they didnt see victoria as she was laying down but potential saw hilda walking towards victoria. the "carry a knife" thing is completely weird to me as an australian the only women i know that would carry something like a knife "for protection" arent living in a coastal rural town with a popultion of 300 or so.. this seems like a cover up and ibet hilda most likely knew the police being such a small town everyone knows everyone in aus. and what about the cousin? was he ever a suspect? so many unanswered questions but rip victoria and thoughts with remaining family
@eeeismebaker9406

I think Hilda might be the guilty one. She might of saw her with her husband and grew jealous. She seemed to have things happen to her and the same things missing as Victoria. Seriously her underwear disappeared and she never reported it or mentioned the crazy run ins with the weird guy before? All this could just be to cover her tracks. She also carried a knife with her all the time and Victoria was stabbed to death. I wonder if they even looked at her knife? Plus she wasn't sexually assaulted which could mean she was killed by a woman. The extreme way she was killed, with bludgeoning and 17 stab wounds, usually means a known person with personal ties to the victim is the killer.

I really think someone from Italy did this , tracking her to the beach in Australia. A jilted secret lover? An ex-boyfriend? Someone felt wronged by her? 1. 17 stab wounds so it’s personal (no other such attacks on the beach or vicinity) 2. Man asking how to exit beach (so not local and eager to get away). 3. Someone tracking her and on seeing she is alone on the beach struck and ran away. Just my 2 cents. Police should check Italian male passengers travelling alone out of major Australian airports over the next 3 to 7 days after the murder

Hear me out, what if the woman she was mistaken for and her husband killed her? Some dispute could have happened and they did insert themselves into the investigation by giving the police the information about a weird man asking for directions and saying that underwear was stolen. Idk just something seems to be overlooked there, or somethings missing.

If you want to do a CRAZY case that many people have never heard but that will resonate with people may I suggest Pamela Mastropietro from Italy. I just became aware of the case and it's insane what happened to her. People will relate to the story because Pamela was a young girl, caught up with drugs. She ran away from the rehab she was in and went to a terrible, drug-infested area of Italy and right into the clutches of a group of Nigerian drug dealers who gave her drugs until she passed out and then did unspeakable things to her. It's a horrible story and it has caused people to question the idea of immigrants coming into first world countries from third world countries and the chaos and crime they bring due to the differences in the level of civilization.

@beautifulsurprise9424

Alibis are usually not used to rule people out unless they can be proven. If someone says they were at home asleep alone at the time of someone’s murder, that kind of alibi will not cause police to rule them out as a suspect whereas if someone said they were at Walmart 50 miles away at the time of someone’s murder and can be seen on surveillance video at the Walmart 50 miles away then the police can feel confident that person did not physically kill the other person themselves and can rule them out as a suspect. So no, just claiming to be somewhere without any proof or without several people verifying that you were there ain’t gonna do it.
