The “Playmate Killer,” Paul Snider, was the ex-husband of Playboy Model Dorothy Stratten. Snider was one of the creators of Chippendales, the male strip club chain. But he is most remembered as the killer of Stratten. Their marriage lasted barely a year. When Stratten developed a romantic relationship with acclaimed film director Peter Bogdanovich, Snider’s jealousy led to murder-suicide. Stratten was killed by Snider in the Los Angeles apartment they had once shared. On the same day, Snider killed himself. Police believe he raped Stratten and sexually abused her corpse as his last twisted obsession of the Playmate of 1980
Murder Made Me Famous" shares personal accounts from victims' family members, jurors, members of law enforcement and journalists involved with each case to give viewers an intimate perspective and disclose new information

What’s so sad? She cheated on him with another married guy, became a homewrecker multiple times and enjoyed selling her body off. Yes she picked wrong and mentally disturbed guy, however she was not innocent and had her own issues. This could have ended differently if she acted and made the appropriate path and decisions .

@@misstreas84 You're a pretty miserable human being aren't you? Wow the comment you've made is such projection of your own character it's terrifying. How dare you judge her? How dare you write such blasphemous trash above, jealous much? Seems to me you are a very insecure and volatile person to make such heinous statements about Dorothy a woman young woman who touched so many souls and hearts. So what's your sick point that people who decide to pose nude and maybe end up in affairs should be murdered????? You are a very sick human being and need to seek help immediately, Shame on you, it's 'things' like you in our world who 'fuck' up society. Seek help again. Pathetic comment, you make me vomit.

@@scheezyallegedly, she was on the verge of superstardom….she had already starred in 3 movies and had done guest spots on several television shows before she was taken….she was the sole provider for the both of them and he wanted her to continue doing that…he was in the US illegally, no green card, no citizenship and other than working under the table, he couldn’t legally earn a living…she was prepared to give him half of her assets (7500.00) which was pretty generous of her considering that while she was filming in NY, he drained their joint bank account and kept all that money for himself, (which he stole from her) sold her brand new Jaguar out from under her (which he stole from her) and sold her Playboy Playmate of the Year plaque (which he stole from her) plus, he was still living in the house which Dorothy had put the down payment on (so she could have also been paying the mortgage on the house he was living in)…..so, in reality, he probably owed her money at the end of it all…but she put all of that aside and was *still* willing to give him half of her assets……for a broken down pimp out of East Van, I’d say she was definitely his golden goose who laid the golden egg by completely financially supporting him and he was not prepared to let her, or the money, go which, sadly and heartbreakingly, ended her young tragic life!!

Right? If she had only taken the advice of all of those surrounding her….those that truly had her best interests at heart….they offered her bodyguards, they offered to meet and deal with Paul themselves so that she wouldn’t have to ever see him nor deal with him again….they offered her whatever she needed to stay safe…..where they all saw how much of a threat Paul was to her, she just didn’t see it….she thought, and told people, that Paul would never hurt her and she wanted them to be friends after the divorce so she decided against everybody’s advice and went over there by herself on that fateful and deadly morning….she was only *20* *years* *old* ffs! Paul Snider destroyed her…literally! There are reports that Hefner SA’ed Dorothy in the grotto/hot tub and so that was one of the reasons that she decided to marry Paul…to stop Hefner from constantly hitting on her and sexually propositioning her….another reason she married him was because she felt that she owed Paul for everything he had done for her, allegedly….had Steve Banerjee not stolen Paul’s idea for the Chippendales maybe he would have had something else to focus on, something else to obsess over….maybe he would have become rich and famous in his own right and wouldn’t have “needed” Dorothy so much to fulfill his goals and ambitions…..who knows, eh? So many what if’s, could haves, should haves….you know, Princess Diana is another one who refused security and also ended up dead, not anything like what happened to Dorothy, but still…if in a situation like Dorothy Stratton, if someone offers you security, take it…it could possibly save your life!!

Go to hell. Who said she was a "hero"? Most people are calling her the brutalized victim of a pathetic little man who couldn't handle the fact that the woman he wanted to pimp out to Hollywood 'big names' players like Hefner, wanted out of the relationship with him (seeing a better man in Peter Bogdanovich, he wasn't. Bogdanovich was just not a psychopathic rapist and murderer) . I bet you're a Muslim man aren't you? Men everywhere are an existential danger to women, with no empathy for women, esp if those women are thought to "cheat" on their so-called men. But Muslim so-called men like you are a particularly clueless and stupid lot: you see a story about an incredibly unlucky young woman like Dorothy, who was killed in the most horrific way imaginable. Yet all you see is a woman who "cheated" You disgust me. Males like you are exhibit A of this type of loser.
