@@Seraphim91they’re equally as entitled to it as the museum is, 99% of the time they’re stolen from someone/somewhere. British museums are built up of stolen goods, if they get stolen and put in a private collection it’s simply karma. Don’t be fooled by the law that’s built to villainise people and make governments who commit the same crimes heroic.

Ely is pronounced 'Ee-lee'. Our place names are ridiculous in Britain, so it's an easy mistake to make. Eastern England seems to have been quite a prosperous area during the Bronze Age, and there have been quite a few important Bronze Age finds in the Cambridgeshire Fens, most notably the Must Farm and Flag Fen settlements.

Some dudes had to go down a hole and hit the wall of it with a big stick with some other metal some other dudes made to get that ore to get some other dude to burn a forests-worth of dead lumber to make that torc. A lot of dudes did a lot of suffering, probably under duress or as slaves, to get that into that museum a lot later for some other dudes to steal it and melt it down for cash.

I should've mentioned that- I can't believe I forgot about that, it was crazy! Thanks for reminding me. But I do think that small community museums deserve to keep at least some of their best antiquities. If it was sent to the British Museum, I'm guessing that it would just be drowned out by all the other cool ancient British gold there.
