Wow. On top of a amazing game, they made a free download that gives you randomly controlled music that can go on almost forever, making for a different experience every time. What hidden orchestra and amanita design did with creaks is truly amazing, and creaks play sounds like a great way to listen to some of my favorite music that I have been playing in the background on Spotify for the last few months. I’ve said it in other places, but I really just want to say thank you to everyone who worked on creaks, may that be animation, marketing, or music. You made a masterpiece, and I can’t wait to see your next projects. That goes to amanita design and hidden orchestra.

The adaptive music in the game so surprising, cool and gorgeous! It adds so much pleasure to walkthrough and doing puzzles, that I fell in love with game immediately :)

Tohle se nedá ani jinak komentovat než jako TOP vývojářský deníček/making of... vůbec. Miluju Amanita Design. Podle mého názoru jednoznačně nejlepší a nejkreativnější české studio, na hony vzdálené "konkurenci". Jsem rád, že mám všechny hry doma ve své sbírce. Konkrétně Creaks jsem podpořil koupí Xzone edice, sběratelské edice a české mutace artbooku s litografiemi navíc. Každý soundtrack je hoden toho nejkvalitnější LPčka. Hry, tisky a hudba pro fajnšmekry s nejvybranějším vkusem. Making of... jsem si moc užil. Díky!

This really blew my mind! Thank you so much for explaining the creative process behind it all. I love music, and soundtracks have a special place in my heart. They add so much to the visuals and overall feel of a game but are so often overlooked. Knowing that this much effort was put to music that is made for the BACKGROUND really shows how much the creators care for their art. I especially love how layers of instruments are added as players progress through the puzzles. It really built the hype for my family as we figured stuff out. I think by favorite song of the track would be Palaces. I've been repeating the part from 7:01. It's just - ugh - so beautiful. The piano chords give the piece such a powerful feeling. Thanks again for allowing us to fully focus on and appreciate all the small details put into the game's production

Now THAT is how you make game music properly! :D On a medium such as PC you don't need to follow the linear form of traditional music media - this "smart randomization" is possible and can be as complex as you want. But I guess it makes it harder to "compartmentalize" or outsource the development of soundtrack for studios, since you need to work together with the designers closely, for things like "beat starts when the level is solved" - may need a more holistic view on it rather than "oh, that's just the audio,". Especially for music that you hear a lot and may get repetitive, maybe because it's a game you play over and over again, this mixing-on-demand sounds like a good idea. Really enjoyed the game and your soundtrack. Art!

Absolutely magical. The artists created beautiful worlds already, and then you layer the music on top - and it starts to consume all your emotions. It all fits so well together. Mesmerizing. Great work, and thank you so much to make a public making-of video.

I noticed while playing that the soundtrack always felt so... right. No matter what I was doing the soundtrack followed and supported, with music swelling and receding with my progress in a subtle but motivating way, and it's awesome to learn that that was by design. A really innovative way to handle a soundtrack, amazing work.

Hi Joe Acheson. Please don't show me what instruments you used to compose the music of Creaks. Each sound already has a graphic, visual representation. They're in my head, as is every other every association between the sounds and places explored in Creaks. So please don't show me the instruments you used, after all, you decided to call yourself Hidden Orchestra and there's no more explicit way to explain to you that there's no need to show us the instruments, their shape, species and type.
