Another thing to note is that when "You'll Never Walk Alone" is reprised as the finale, the final note does get a more solid resolution with entire C major chord represented in the harmony. The point is that as long as Louise believes in the message, the rest of her life will be just fine. The audience is left with the assurance that it's all going to work out.

I’m 27 but my young adulthood already perished even before COVID. I graduated college this past summer but not happy to be out of school with half the world still on lockdown. I still live with my parents but at least better then nothing. I just want this to be over as much as everyone does.

This was fascinating. Thank you.🙏🏼. I know nothing about music, so I learned something new here and therefore, learned a new appreciation for this gorgeous song. 💕. And the graphics were excellent! 👍

A few weeks ago, I nearly lost my uncle to COVID. But he’s home all better now. I’m scared for 2021

@@manuelorozco7760 so happy for your family that he's home again. May you and your family all come through 2021 in a better place. The times ARE scary, but that doesn't mean the worst will materialize. Let's keep our optimism and celebrate our families. I would hate to "walk alone" during these times, but many must. We are lucky in that regard.

Back in October, acclaimed Slovak opera singer Patricia Janeckova died of cancer. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE would be an excellent choice for a future memorial concert.

Belynda B You’re making a mistake. You’re talking about “Clim Every Mountain” from The Sound of Music, this is “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from Carousel.

This is so fascinating!! I knew the chord progression in this song made me emotional, but the explanation in this video showed me it was very intentional on the composer’s side. I just watched all the musicology videos on this channel. It may not be the type of content to go viral, but I hope to see more of these videos in the future!!

I was introduced to do this song with Josh Groban’s version! And the message couldn’t be timelier right now. It’s perhaps Rogers and Hammerstein’s counterpart to You Will Be Found From Dear Evan Hansen.

"To me that's almost hymnal." Agree. When my school did this song for our broadway concert, we got a really strong, brassy singer to do it as a gospel. Gave new life to the song, made it sound like motown (v popular in our area), and gave it a groove the parents loved.

that doesn't sound hymnal at all, that sounds like pop with some overwrought look-at-me-everyone solos
