You’re so right about ground wires tending to be an issue. With so much wiring, I’m thinking a unique color (sorry, “colour”) of tape to quickly identify ground wires would be a good future practice (says the guy who only dreams of doing a chassis swap some day 😅)

Auto zone and advance have those fittings and adapters. They just don't have anyone that knows what you want. They also have premise straight tubing in stock. They just don't know it.

We love Wifetastic too, you're pretty funny. Love the test drive, and love seeing there will be daily updates. This teleworking is for the birds, however I'm getting more done on my '73 F100.

Good progress! Loving it , guess that has full tax and mot !😂 ever thought of ripping out all that miles of over complicated German wiring and fitting a stand alone Ecu with a simple neat loom ? It’s also possible that pulling out all that abs crap will now cause all sorts of codes and possibly will go into limp mode.

You should tell us where to find those adapter parts on the mercedes. Little tips like that for builds can save a guy a lot of cash in the end. I always load up on extra parts like such when I go to the scrap yard. Especially on good metric fasteners and bulbs ,fuses, clips.etc. That would be a great video to do. What to get for free at the scrap yard that is useful in builds. Your fans could give you tips on good cars to find the parts you will need.

Right car i have a doner car for a build in nm . you are finding your way but you are scaring me un vs frame car . a lot of subframing sub structure post car to car.... Bmw is whole chop and vw is chop would you have felt better intergrating bmw suspension and engine into complet body? Vw seems healthier than z3 structure but z3 is tec complex?
@danromeo65714 жыл бұрын
to chop something up that much and you've got it to run... id say that is an accomplishment. carry on. haha

Will appreciate an update every day since we are in lockdown here in South Africa! Love your channel and this build.I would leave the ABS in the car,isn't that the whole reason you're swapping in something modern in the bug to have an classic with modern technology?

You need to include Wifetastic more often Nathan. She adds a level (or 20) of class to each video. No go pick up the crap that fell of the Zed 3 when you were driving around. If you’re off of work does that mean Grandma has to watch reruns?
