18 to life. But honestly you know I know he'll be released probably around 20 years. He's only 21 years old and he did a horrible act to most likely a great guy. Looked like they were making a lot of money together? He got greedy. Doesn't excuse what he did? Never would he get out in prison here in the United states and especially Texas, Oklahoma. They have the death penalty and he qualified for the death penalty here in the states. 2 things 1st premeditated 2nd in the coase of a robbery. Remember he stole that money. So he would have faced a death sentence. I believe we have 27 states with the death penalty 26 cause California is in limbo. Anyways great post!!! Be safe !! D. From Boston,ma 🇮🇹🇺🇸❤👍

No, because you still have the motive of greed, legal drugs or not, they turn a profit on the street and this man murdered for it, leaving behind all kinds of evidence.I watched one of these shows in which a woman was murdered by her roommate over a lousy $200.
@horyzengaming3935
@horyzengaming3935 4 жыл бұрын
@@borninabarn2232 The motive of greed is a human trait, we all have it, nothing to do with drugs. Making a substance illegal makes it go to the hands of criminals and is not under any control. Learn how alcohol prohibition in america caused more deaths then the actual alcohol did at the time. No one has the right to stop others from doing anything if its not directly effecting them. That is a god given right. There is a reason why drugs laws let criminals run the show, once you have learned the reason why then you will have a totally different view on the subject. All drugs should be legal and should come with a label of ingredients, health risks and should be available without having to put your life at risk while buying them. A lot more lives would be saved and a lot less crime on the streets if drug laws were different. That is a fact.
@borninabarn2232
@borninabarn2232 4 жыл бұрын
@@horyzengaming3935 I am well aware of the alcohol prohibtion period and I said what I said.Prescription pills are legal and those who cannot obtain them without a prescription still buy them on the streets, the same goes for the sale of marijuana through an individual rather than a store.It's easy to blame the laws regarding drug sale/use but the motive here is greed, a trait which has been around since the dawn of time and will always be around.

"Keeping the body at the house for two days reflected his overconfident personality." No. No it didn't. The body was not found the two days he left it in the house, so leaving it there was not overconfidence. Apparently he was fairly confident it wouldn't be found at the weed house, and his waiting to dispose of it was possibly because he was worried it could be found if he dumped it somewhere. Considering he cut the hands off makes me think he was worried it would be found. If he was overconfident he would have weighed it down in the water without cutting the hands off, confident it would never float or be found. ' Some cops can be the worst at judging and understanding people's thoughts. Not all, just some. Possibly the ones that are this way, are like this because they are themselves overconfident in their abilities to understand what criminals are thinking. Projecting one's own thinking onto others is a mistake many people do when trying to understand others. Also they deal with a lot of dumb people with simple motivations, sex, drugs, anger. Possibly the ease of understanding simple people all the time makes them think they are Dr. Freud genius psychological analysts. More likely the ones that are confidently wrong life this, are each this way for different reasons. Also some I think are not as confident as they act. I think they like to brag when they are on TV shows. Talk about their god like investigation abilities and how dumb the criminals all are.

I think its about time for New Zealand to review and change their laws. So frustrating to see a murderer to serve only 18 years for a gruesome crime committed.

I see a lot of people commenting on the sentence he got. Some countries don't believe in putting people away for life. And the fact is that many of these countries have a lot less crime than The US. If those life sentences work, why are there so many murders? Where I live we believe in rehabilitation. Not revenge like The US. I don't know the exact percentage but of all the murderers hardly none does it again. As long as I've followed crime I know about one individual that killed and did time and then killed again.

@The Real Deal sure some people are just really evil. The USA takes the biscuit though, it seems like they just lock people away and chuck the key. They have horrendous crime rates as well, so ut clearly doesn't work.

@The Real Deal 😅👍 Super, you might be right about the fist fights but tbh that has to do with drinking in the evenings and pubs ect. Although if you ask me fist fighting is better than people shooting each other. Less loss of life for one thing

@The Real Deal you're absolutely right. Some people are born evil, how can you rehabilitate a serial killer?? Sex offenders, especially pedophiles are known to never change and reoffend every time they are let out of jail. It is sad but true.

I give a huge respect for this investigation team.
