Amaterasu is Japan’s Sun Goddess. The icon you saw carved into stone represents Amaterasu - the sun. Unlike the Egyptian sun god, Ra, Amaterasu cares about her people. Her story is actually very sad. Her efforts to protect humanity did not go unpunished. Not all gods are kind.

It was probably not established in 4 BCE. A more realistic date would be around the 5th century.

I'm not sure that looks like the Star of David but anyway symbols have always crossed over and cultures most of them can be traced back to India though
