My father had some pieces of a german U boat they captured. He was fascinated by them his whole life. May god bless all the men and women ripped from their lives and forced to to terrible things against their will for causes not their own

U-479 not found in this long outdated video. Watching this is a total waste of time. In the summer of 2013 the wreck of a type VIIC U-boat was discovered by the Estonian Maritime Administration in a depth of 95 meters. It shows damage from mining and was tentatively identified as U-479 by Axel Niestlé.
