Bakt-en-Hor (daughter of Nakhtefmut) was housed at the Hancock museum in Newcastle, for years after being displayed in the Lit and Phil. I've known her for a long time, since I was a kid. The Hancock had a mannequin which they thought was what she would have looked like when she was alive, and had her down as a princess. Studies were originally performed in 1964 and updates, in 1991 and while there's knowledge of her overbite, not much else was seen on her earlier scans/pathology so it's intriguing yet sad to find out what truly happend to her.

The greatest mystery of this documentary is how high the computer expert was when he drew on the eyelashes and eyebrows of the mummy. lol 1:15:29

It should be mentioned that Professor Joann Fletcher has had a somewhat stormy relationship with Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and at one point was banned from the country. I suspect this documentary was filmed prior to the ban.

I think this might be a part of the series Mummy forensics, which was after the lift of the ban, but it's really hard to tell lol

Interesting. Why was she banned?

@@KMark2688 I believe she was banned because she "didn't present her finds to the the ministry before publishing them", but this turned out to be technically false so she was allowed back after some time, it took about 5 years before she went back to Egypt though

Yes, the director of Egyptian Antiquities Sank Hawass didn't back up her claim to have identified a long lost famous mummy Queen. So he banned her. Btw~ This is a very old documentary, there must be at least 20 copies of it on yt.

Hawass is an asshole and doesn’t have the best history (kinda an understatement.)

What's truly amazing is that his nice lady, (Dr Fletcher) dressed in black with her very red hair, doesn't explode beneath the Egyptian sun.

I think at that time if the person was not happy with his her life or may be felt sick, there would be a rule to killed by someone with their choice...and mummified them.

That's literally a human being. It's unfortunate that mummies are so dehumanised. Would they do this to the long barried kings and queen of England? (tbf they probably would). It makes for great content nonetheless...
