He could have OD’d by snorting the heroin in his apartment. Why would he have needed to be transported? Since there was no autopsy report, it’s very possible since he was known to have been using heroin at the time. Most 27 year olds don’t just randomly die of heart failure.

Fascinated me as a teenager. His interests matched my own and the Doors music had a certain mystique and the allusions held me spellbound. Ultimately a complex, multilayered magnetic guy with enormous creativity. Unfortunately, the most interesting musicians and artists have trouble wrestling with their demons and sadly led to his implosion. Would have had such an creative impact on music throughout the various evolutions but we can only guess at how that would have played out....

I met and worked with an Andy Morrison in 1978-1982. He was millwright and I was told he was JM’s brother. I was also told that AM had a great singing voice but wanted nothing to do with the music industry due to what happened to Jim. Although I wanted to believe the idea, I always kind of assumed it was hooey. The AM I knew was in his early 30’s in 1980. Does anyone have any info about AM?

The story of Jim Morrison's death has been told ever since he died. "The Mystery of Jim Morrison's Death Has FINALLY Been Solved!" is laughable. Here we find some fairly good documentation coupled with a depressing music track & mostly good photos. But what's with the kid with the bead necklace, or the ugly guys in wigs mocking the Ed Sullivan performance? Did someone actually think that was them? Speaking of the Sullivan performance. The best part to the story which they fail to mention is that Jimbo would notoriously sing the lyrics to "Light My Fire" correctly, never complying to an enraged Sullivan's conditions.

Regarding moving his body, Quite a few people wanted to move him back to the USA or Exhume his body to verify that it was actually him. Problem is: it's Illegal to move a Body in France. Plus, Why would the French Government want to lose the second most popular tourist attraction to Paris, The First is the Eifel Tower. The truth is: Jim's Father did have a Grave Stone made that couldn't be Stolen or Defaced. It reads in in Latin or some other language: True to his own Spirit, something like that.
