Asenath was not Egyptian by blood, she was Semitic. The Hyksos were Hebrew rulers in Egypt at the time, and her father, Potifera, was the "Priest of On". The word "priest" in the OT ("kohen") is also translated as "ruler". Asenath's father was a Hyksos ruler of On, a Hebrew by blood, and so was his daughter. God forbade Abraham and his posterity from marrying outside the bloodline in order to maintain the priesthood line of authority. He would not suddenly stop with Joseph, a righteous and obedient man, and suddenly make marrying a Hamite perfectly allowable. Nor would he allow the birthright and priesthood to be passed on to Ephraim if Ephraim was half Egyptian when he specifically denied the priesthood to Egyptians. Ironically I have also been reading Joseph and Asenath and it says she was renewed and formed anew again and annointed with incorruptibility amd her name changed to city of refuge becausr in her many nations shall take refuge into the LORD. Here is what is surprising about the pastor: he is basing his all explaination on the christian cannon (that omits all the books that even talk to the calling of Asenath) and a brochure written by a man. Pharoah only blessed WHAT YAHSHUA announced to Asenath. And HE ( YAHSHUA) revealed the message of her anointing to her when she asked who HE was... The Angel of YAHUAH visited Asenath. Why are we being misled?

Joseph was actually born 3278 FC (from the Cross). Died 3168 FC. Then 1258 yrs to the Captivity in Egypt. Adam was created 5476 BC. This is given by Ezra in II Esdras. It was in Joseph's time that Upper and Lower Egypt were consolidated (circa 3000 bc). The mystical Menes was pharaoh near that time. Manasseh was the first son of Joseph, and half-Egyptian Joseph was all Hebrew, and couldn't be a pharaoh. Was Manasseh Menes? The famine began in 3240 FC.
