Wonderful story! And one of the few really competent female Librivox Narrators (Ruth Golding is another). I know it's an unusual comment to post, but one of the things that struck me upon listening to this (and her other novels),is the unfortunate change in the character and purpose of the YWCA,and YMCA. They were set up to be a resource for young Christian adults, to give them a place to congregate, spend time visiting with friends, and even stay at, like a Christian youth hostel. Although YMCA was a catchy tune, it's such a shame that an organization deliberately created as a refuge for young people to keep them safe from SA, became instead a place for cheap hookups by the 1970s. Most people don't even know the purpose for which it was created.smh.
