That's the same story for me! My first handheld was a GB Color, specially to play Pokémon Red and Blue! If memory serves, in the mid 90s it only cost like $150 usd total!

On the topic of Gameboy and Zelda, did you know there was a playable demo of Link's Awakening at the Comsumer Electronics Show in January of 1993? The only footage I know of has been put on the games Prerelease page on The Cutting Room Floor recently. I've been trying to find more footage, but I've had zero luck.

@@drwily It is, but also pretty different featuring at least 1 different song that I know of, as well as an older map that's more like the Hyrule Map that was found(only seen a couple screens of it from this demo and Prerelease screenshots) and older graphics for things like the cliff boarder things.

In all honesty. More Device Creators should embrace Metal Shells over Plastic or Glass again. Gold isn't the best idea due to being a fairly weak metal though. Imagine having a handheld's shell cast out of Titanium or even just Chrome-Vanadium. It would be indestructable. And about the GBA SP the video is about. A child at school had one. (The regular one, not the actual gold one.) He sat in the corner of the library with it almost daily. (In this corner everyone played videogames albeit it technically wasn't allowed at our school at all.)
