I am 68 and watched all the reruns starting in 1960. I remember my parents doubting he committed suicide.

This is very sad. He made a good Superman and if you can catch/find them, they are still fun to watch.

The suicide theory was total crap from the beginning! The group in the house took 45 minutes to phone the police. The LAPD did a shoddy job of “investigating”: not hauling any of them to the station, no follow-up questioning, cleaning the body before an autopsy, no questions about the bullet holes in the room. Lemmon shot Reeves in a drunken rage, and got everyone to cover for her. Furthermore, Lemmon broke the police seal a couple of days later, entered the house, and stole traveller’s cheques and liquor. (There’s a photo of her leaving the house; the guy behind her is shielding his face.) Not even that generated an arrest! She was allowed to flee to New York, where she spent the rest of her life drinking from breakfast to bedtime! I don’t believe the Mannix “hit man” scenario. The house was too small to allow someone to sneak upstairs undetected, and no credible way to escape from the bedroom. Finally, I don’t buy the “depressed actor” story. Reeves had a couple of sci-fi features lined up - as director. He had signed for a “Superman” tour of Australia. And, he was gearing up for a new season of the series. None of his close friends accepted the suicide fiction!

The whole thing is fishy 🐟 🤔 Poorly investigated 🔎 😢 Hard to believe Superman 🦸♀️ was dead before I was born. 😢

I guess I thought most of this was covered in the film, *"Hollywoodland."*

Lot of money!? Are you kidding actors did not make the money,studios made the MONEY. Actors were pretty much contract servants in some instances almost like a studio slave. Back then like not fame and celebrity are not equal to money.

I still think to this day it was Leonore Lemmon who pulled the trigger.After all why did she vanish back to New York with the traveller's cheque's ? Also her movementsput her in the vicinity or in or George's bedroom when the shot rang out

You can still catch Superman on TV every Saturday and Sunday but I don't know if I can mention the channel here. 4 back-to-back episodes on both Saturday and Sunday.

Why can't you mention the network? I for one would be interested in seeing them.
@robm30744 ай бұрын
@@kevinmadden1645 The episodes are not on this weekend because the station is running a marathon on the Twilight Zone. But if you Google "Heroes and Icons" channel it will bring up a schedule in your area of when those Superman programs are shown. I hope this will help you and I hope you enjoy the episodes from the past. Is in many ways they are kind of humorous.
