@ontologicallysteve77653 жыл бұрын
I was born around the same time, and I concur--- going to the video store on a Saturday night was an event that produced a feeling that scrolling through a streaming service can NEVER replicate. I'm glad I was born when I was. So many memories. So much nostalgia.
@KirkRedgate3 жыл бұрын
@@ontologicallysteve7765 Yeah, good times. I was friendly with the owners of my local video shop, I often got first dibs on new releases. I had blockbusters around the corner but I didn't rent from them much, only if my video shop didn't have what I was looking for. What's even more old school, I remember having a guy who visited our house once a week who rented films and games in the back of his van 😂. We are spoilt now with everything at our finger tips. But I still like to collect physical media, especially things that are nostalgic and difficult to find.

I went to the Mystic Museum in 2019 for their Evil Dead exhibit, it was amazing, and it was cool being the only people in the exhibit! I should have took video footage instead of just taking pictures. I wish I could go there more often, but living in MA makes it a little difficult. Also an added bonus, down the street is a store called Halloweentown that was absolutely amazing and basically the living definition of "wet dream" for anyone into horror movie stuff. If I could have taken all the stuff back with me, I would have spent sooooooo much money there...but I only ended up getting a couple small things.
