Janice Fiamengo is a former tenured professor in English literature at the University of Saskatchewan and Ottawa in Canada, who has left an indelible mark on the discourse surrounding feminism, gender studies, and men's advocacy. With a career spanning decades, Fiamengo's extensive research into women's writings from the 1850s onwards and the nuanced history of feminism has provided critical insights into gender dynamics. She has authored multiple insightful books on these subjects, establishing herself as a profound voice in academia. ‪@janicefiamengo993‬
We explore truisms derived from conversations with women, questioning and critically analyzing their implications. Delve into the assertion that affirmative action and easing pathways for women are ways to correct historical discrimination, and uncover the historical context behind women's limited agency. We discuss the perception that women inherently bring better leadership and are morally superior to men and also take a closer look at the idea that feminism had noble intentions. #feminism #redpill #genderequality

It's a classic case of projection when Valerie Solanus accused men of being eaten up with hatred and envy of women, when she was the one full of hatred and envy.

The earliest calls for female literacy in America were made by "the Patriarchy." The men who ran Puritan communities decided girls should be educated along with boys. Dame schools were started for that purpose. The first poet published in America was a woman. Anne Bradstreet. Men who spoke harsh words to their wives could be fined. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't a Margaret Atwood novel either.

For most of human history men lived off the land as illiterate subsistence farmers , until they are told to fight in a war.. There was no transport so you worked where you lived. Most men worked back breaking work from sun up to sun down, 6 days a week to feed their families. Feminists have a warped view of history if they think men had it easy. Another thing that isnt talked about is how the early feminist/womens groups were very conservative, and religious. Prohibition happened after mostly women complained/protested about alcohol. Women have historically been very conservative and religious.

@@tubester4567 Feminists were not religious. They viewed religion, specifically Christianity, as a focal point for female oppression. That's why most are/were occultists, practicing wiccan and the like, or avowed atheists. The popularity of tarot cards, astrology, crystals, etc. are due to feminist influence. Prohibition is an example of feminist propaganda and male hatred. One of the arguments they made for banning alcohol was that it caused men to become abusive and violent towards their wives, a lie that had no factual support. Another example of this lie is the notion that organized sports such as football caused men to beat their wives. Feminists claimed that domestic violence increased astronomically after the Super Bowl. Again, this had no basis in statistics or facts, but that didn't prevent feminists from spreading it as fact for years. Feminism cannot exist without lying and misandry.

Feminists are no different from anyone else. In this day and age, we just don’t want to be thought of as insensitive, at least towards those who count as people.

How come we have never seen or heard of an all female community? We know why, when you live in a world that’s already built, all the work is done, you just step in and say we could’ve done better, but you haven’t, and you won’t, I feel sorry for the women who started this movement, who were obviously physically and sexually abused, I feel for them, I do. It seem like all they ended up doing was creating a deeper and darker Hell for themselves and other women.

It's not even obvious that they *were* abused or oppressed. It looks very like a convenient narrative to explain their hatred and lack of achievement.

I think there are actually a few all-female communities in the rural US. They are lesbians, of course, but that's to be expected given the situation. They don't seem any more or less dysfunctional than other intentional communities. Nunneries have also existed for a millennium or more in the West, even if they have often relied on men to do building and other heavy labor. I agree with your general point. A lot of women don't really seem to understand how civilization is sustained or who mostly does that - the age-old confusion of emotional labor with physical labor. Maybe they just don't like civilization in general. It makes sense to me. They had a lot more power when the world was not as built up.

@@imnoone492 A feminist is someone living in a society made safe, comfortable and prosperous, by the blood, sweat and inspiration of men….. and whining about “male privilege”. The great teachers and philosophers who preached the equality and inherent value of all? Almost entirely men. The soldiers who fought for these things….. men. The leaders and statesmen who articulated this vision and promoted it - sometimes at risk of life or career….. almost all men.

Yes, especially their fathers grand fathers, brothers and sons. All the major femunists had bad relationships with their male family members. Just read their writings - it screams familial disfunction loud and clear! At best the women generalise from the personal, at worst they are bigotted and hate fueled!

It's an audio synch issue. For some reason, the host's audio is 5 seconds ahead of Janice's, so it sounds like she's interrupting when she's just echoing what Janice has said. For instance, look at the part where the host supplies the word "girdle" several seconds before Janice even starts to grapple with finding the word. You can also see it when the host says "extermination" several seconds before Janice touches on the subject. The two audios just aren't synched up correctly.

My sense is that Feminism has been a movement concerned with instances of actual injustice(s) affecting individuals or groups who have been viewed differently than men for one reason or another because they are different than men. I do not think women have acted out of hatred of men per se, but have acted out of a hatred of things that men have done, said , or do that have caused actual mental, physical harms, harm to a person's career advance, financial security that impact the quality of another persons life, including the impact of the law, itself and public policy. Many of these issues have been brought to the for and addressed, but many are ongoing because they happen to individuals who do not have access to enough money , time, media influence or even good enough mental health to pursue justice through the court systems or to challenge policy or the law. They need advocacy to get representation visibility and action, especially in systems where " old boys networks" have prevailed in institutions, like the universities, with close ties to governments, and likewise the medical systems and governing bodies , of medical practices which can stay very "set in their ways" as to how things are done to preserve prestige and status, such as credit for individual/ collective accomplishment. Who gets money to pursue what goals or agendas and why? However bound up in all that are also values that have promoted stability and progress and cohesion necessary to growth so it's always a trade off of differences, not about erasing them. 0:38

janice gave you NAMES and BOOKS as proof. Then you come and say THATS NOT TRUUUUUU without any proof of your claims. The reality is feminism is rotten at its core and they had to some marketing about equality to attract more people. But once those equalities came to life, they rolled back to "men are pigs". Also, nobody was equal back in the days, even men were not equal to one another and every freedom came with some responsibility. Feminists asked for all the freedom without any consequences. This is what they called "equality".

Well, I think you are dead right about people wanting to believe and also not wanting to believe that they can or have been swept up in well_meaning zeal, to do things that people become willing to do to correct the so called ills of the society, or world, because they are convinced it is the correct thing to do- to convince themselves to do it.
