Amazing video Stu. Time spent fishing is never time wasted, a chance to reflect, to think and just slow down from the pace of life. Your films always capture an atmosphere that is calming and a pleasure to watch.

Thank you Mark, appreciate that. Those few night sessions were enjoyable but I can't flex my film making muscles in the dark, so I really enjoyed making this one. Back out in the morning, Eastney in search of a dab. Fingers crossed. Happy New year to you and yours. 😎

Filming in the dark is difficult. I’m out tomorrow and think I’ll send the drone up for an alternative view.

Going back about 35 years ago, god I feel old You used to be able to fish off the end of a pier/jetty which from where you are fishing would be to your right about 1/2 mile down. Used to be quite a hot spot for flat fish, very popular with anglers. Ive recently moved back to Portsmouth and driving down the Eastern road I notice people fishing from behind their cars where the pier used to be so guess it’s gone now. Enjoy your videos, look forward to the next one.

I did try to catch my first harbour mullet from that jetty a few years back. Shame they pulled it down, everyone's gone all health and safety mad and some very lovely structures have been removed. Stu

I remember that pier about 45 years ago there used to be a ship moored to it ,it was a schooner, it was there for a long time ,bet you can't remember that

Hi Stu beautiful little video I loved the slow motion of the birds and the music. Blimey that tanker looked really close in. Have a happy new year and we will see you in 2020 but until then take care my friend.

Happy new year Clive. Thanks for the kind words. Yes that tanker went over my lines and churned the bottom up a tad. I left shortly after its arrival, kind of killed the atmosphere.

Good to see another beautiful vid where you give your painters eye a free run Stu. Makes me want to put the rods away and trot out the watercolours. Crabs and sea lice are the bane of my local too and that’s when the frikken midges are on holiday. Still, we fish! Best wishes to you and yours for the new year.

Morning .that was a great video to watch . I fished on my boat a week ago up by the old jet ski pontoons . Totally crabbed out . Still good to get out though 👍. Need to find a bank or two to see if I can find a flaty or two .. .
@thesweetcornkid2665 жыл бұрын
Let's hope a cold snap kills them crabs off. Good luck with finding some flounders. Seems most are along the beaches and not venturing into the harbours.

Sore, it's tudor sailing club on the Eastern road. It does say its a private slipway, so they might well moan if they see you.

Don't bother lol. No seriously, I think on the edd there's always a chance of a bass. I think the flounders are very few and far between, they seem to show up along the beach but rarely seem to venture I to the harbours.
