Well, when he woke up, he thought he crapped himself and immediately jumped up and ran into the bathroom, while she was laughing her ass off. Although twilight is focused more on romance the lore of the vampires and werewolves are actually done right, the vampires mixed in with people for thousands of years to cover up their kind same goes for the shapeshifters the one thing they never featured are the lycan liked werewolves or known in the twilight universe as children of the moon they are insanely strong but no sanity when they transformed.

I keep thinking that Michael's supposed "death" in Blood Wars was actually simply Marius draining his blood from time to time from Underworld: Evolution to Underworld: Awakening. His "death" scene showing him wrapped up in a body bag before being drained, mostly after being thawed out from his cryogenic slumber. Therefore, there's a chance he's actually alive somewhere after his escape from Antigen, laying low or something.

Actually, Lucian's plans for Michael Corvin's blood was to turn *himself* into a hybrid; if, after Raze had left the vials of the Vampire Elder, Amelia's, blood next to Lucian, after Lucian had woken-up with severe silver poisoning, Lucian had drank Amelia's blood from the vials, Lucian would have lived.

When I had Lucian's story, he didn't feel like the bad guy that he was introduced as. Viktor literally killed his own daughter and his unborn grandchild with slight remorse. I hated Viktor after that and I felt bad for Lucian, Sonya and their unborn child.

marcus' winged hybrid form was from when he was exposed to the blood of that lycan scientist, making him a vampire/lycan hybrid, he didn't already have that form before, and as far as we know there were no other vampire/lycan hybrids like marcus. In underworld evolution Selene confirmed that Marcus was a hybrid. Also being that vampires and werewolves come from a virus and not a curse, i don't actually think they are really undead and they’re are never really described as being undead and if they were, they shouldn’t have any bodily functions or be able to reproduce if their bodies are technically dead.

You're right, definitely not undead. Selene falls unconscious from blood loss in the first movie. There's actually very little mysticism in Underworld outside of the getting memories from blood thing of vampires. Most of the abilities come from the pseudo science of the virus interacting with mutated dna. Sure, heavy on the pseudo and light on the science but still.

I agree with this. Never in their mythos did they mention they're undead or we're bitten to revive from the dead. They're humans transformed into vampires because of a virus and not the "vampire myth" that we used to know. I cringed the moment he said undead or Marcus having that winged form already. This is more into science than a myth.

I think a lot of people didn't get that Marcus didn't have the winged form before awakening. Selene looked scared and freaked out when she first saw him awake, but we just thought she was afraid of an elder, not that she was marveling at what he looked like. And there were more hints in the scene when Marcus killed Alexander, like when he said he was stronger now and more able to control William and that he would create a new race of immortals in his own 'godlike' image.

They're all biologically immortal. Unlike traditional vampire myths, the vampires in the Underworld series aren't classified as the undead. They're genetic and mutated anomalies that do not age or die of natural causes. The same is for the Wolves and Lycans.

As Hollywood swords go, this series does a really good job of depicting relatively historically accurate swords. They haven't succumbed to the pop culture peer pressure(say that 3x fast!), which, for whatever reason, dictates that everything must be a longsword to be "cool". It partially restores my faith in humanity that they depict arming swords in this!

It never made sense to me that draining her blood killed her when she was literally on her way to be drained to sleep for 100 years. One thing I always felt confused about though with the franchise, is if one is immortal, and has a child, how does the child age, if you are truly immortal the aging process should cease, hence why individuals stay looking a certain age. So if you have a baby, then they would remain a baby forever no? Or does the immortality not kick in so to speak until a developmental point? That's the only thing I wish had more clarification.

sorry, let me rephrase so, in the final movie(Don't really consider it a direct sequel IMOP) the wolf leader(Marius) who goes to war with the vampires and Selena it turns out he/someone finds Michale's body and did some experiments with it and injected himself with serum they made and that's why he was so strong. On the first movie(Underworld: Awakening) Selena and Michael tried to escape some lab they had a child together(A girl) and they were captured (they don't really explain how someone as strong as those 2 could be caught) and they escape and as they do Michael was presumed dead/killed in the explosion(again find it hard to believe a bit of fire could have killed him, however, the actor had no interest in return so they had a double who looked a bit like him to film the scene) and in this movie, (Underworld: Blood Wars) the main villain (Marius) had Michael's body and made a serum and I guess killed him because Selena also confirms he is dead.

I HAVE SOMETHING COMPLETELY SEPARATE TO SAY INVOLVING IDEAS FOR (UNDERWORLD) STORIES: Now I think that if the rumor is true about the (UNDERWORLD) movies franchise might be over with; That doesn’t mean that it isn’t out of the question to create a show series franchise with the UNDERWORLD stories set, and I can imagine many different stages that could introduce each story that is about each one book story. For instance I can imagine that the ORIGIN STORY could be shown of what happened to the 2 sons of King ALEXANDER CORVINUS; An so I can imagine what type of vampire-bat was the one responsible for infecting one of the 2 sons’s with vampire-bat DNA that had turned him into the first vampire monster, and I can imagine within a series it might show what type of wolf was responsible for infecting one of the 2 sons’s with wolf DNA that had turned him into the first werewolf, and to add I can imagine within the show series of (UNDERWORLD ORIGINS) it might properly explain what exactly the father of the two cursed sons who is a king what type of abilities, and along with what type of powers he might have which makes him so different from his 2 sons who are monsters. To add I can imagine that the next book story could involve the chaos that had developed do to the fault of the king’s werewolf son going out of control killing many people, and not just that infecting a certain amount of people with his werewolf curse from a less fatal bite that he had done to each one of them, and to add later slowly introduce a few familiar characters to how they had become so important much later within the storyline. Plus to add I can imagine the next book story that later is made into another chapter of the (UNDERWORLD) show series; It could properly show the many important moments in the uprising when the werewolves slaves decides to overthrow their royal vampire rulers who were repressing them for many years, and not just that I can imagine that it could show what happened next after the werewolves have overthrown the vampire royals. I also can imagine that in a (UNDERWORLD) show series it could show many more important details to the storyline of each one of the books sets stories in order to hopefully enjoy it even more than the previous movies that were once seen, and so I imagine that in a show series there could be less editing done to the storyline of the show series story-script.

Great video, but one thing is wrong : the cell for William was built before Lucian revolt and him taking one of the two keys for the cell. So Viktor murdered Selene's familly to preserve the secret of the cell location, and make sure that William will stay imprissoned forever.

The vampires were the true villains of the series they were to werewolves and lycans like Frieza was to the Saiyans merciless, evil, greedy tyrants especially victor and now the werewolves are nearly all gone because of them I wish a lycan I wish there was another lycan protagonist because modern vampires are boring they’re just humans with fangs and different colored eyes I wish they could transform into bat like monsters like Marcus it’d make them way more interesting but no writers decide make them sexy goth people instead 🤦🏾‍♂️

i think after 4 movie lycans and vampires got equal anihilated by humans , and both r growing their squads to gain global power again , but we saw 2 kinds of vampires dark goth and light goth , eve (hybrids) will have his own clan , lycans will be lycans , we need another 6th movie and on to tell us what gonna happen... they said a tv series was cooking but yet nothing show up

@@CyberCristo lycans decided to teamed up with humans which why the vampires got pushed back into the rat holes.. humans will most likely allied with the lycans since technically they can survive without eating or sucking human blood. Which is why even though the lycans were portrayed to be the villains in the last 2 film i still understand them.

For immortal creatures that lived for thousands of years, if they didn't have strong foundation on their lore.. it would be just a hollowed tale. And from the latest movie you know, they needed to put down Selene arc somehow (by making her an Elder), and start building another protagonist. That's where her daughter came in, another hybrid like her father, like what's the first movie is all about.. to insert another kind of creature. What makes me curious is the power 'anomaly' from The Vampire Northern Coven, it's so unique. I'm excited of how they will continue this franchise tho, how they would insert another villain. And what comes of Selene daughter in the Northern Coven.. Maybe train her to become the new Death Dealer 😁 All and all, this franchise definetly worth your time, a classic indeed. Not to mention all the aesthetic casts, it's like they were born to play the character. In my opinion, they all suits the look of a vampire, their voice, charisma and those brute and gritty acts for the Lycans part too.

This is my favourite movie series! They started before vampires were "popular". I noticed that on Netflix the original movie (not the prequel) replaced the scene of Sonia being burned alive. It is no longer the blonde actress from the original movie. It was replaced with the a scene from rise of the lycans, which was filmed later

I’m not sure if someone else’s mentioned this to you but the reason Marcus can change form is due to the Werewolf blood that woke him up and the reason he didn’t die was due to him being a Direct Descendent of the corvinus strain and the radon for the drastic two forms of hybrids . This is the reason Marcus and Michel are the only to hybrids other than there new decedents.

For clarification. Both Marcus and Michael are tribrids. Corvinus + Bat + Wolf = Marcus. Corvinus + Wolf + Bat = Michael. Upon being impregnated, Selene became a vampire mutated by tribrid blood. Not s hybrid. Michael & Selene's daughter is special because she is first pure born tribrid. Given that her father's form is more lycan, she is likely to lean wolf as she grows. Where the lycans were getting it wrong in their experiments is that they were essentially trying to recreate Lucian's daughter (mixing the blood before the change). With both Michael and Marcus we learn that one mutation must be set in first. Michael's wolf mutation was locked in before Selene bit him. This is why he has more wolfish physical traits. Likewise, Marcus' vampire mutation had been set in for centuries before being introduced to lycan blood. This is why he has more vampire traits. The most ironic thing is that if Marcus had only considered receiving a bite or blood from a lycan (or even a scratch from William) he may have never needed Viktor at all.
