"The N-Scale Empire!" (almost) - The Evolution of Model Railroading in My Life

Chapter Three of this series takes my N-Scale "Empire" to the next level, but there will soon be a major change. I really appreciate comments about this layout and want to hear your thoughts on your own model railroading!

I'm doing the series because I'm wondering how your experiences of model railroading might relate to mine. How many layouts have you built over time? Why did one layout last longer than others? What scales have you modeled? Do you currently have a layout that you are working on or are you between layouts like I had been so many times? Please comment!

I came here from another n scale vid and saw your comment about code 55 track. Looks awesome. Getting info before i start my n scale empire. Would you do it again in atlas code 55? Any problems?

Thank you! I would definitely stay with Atlas code 55 if I did N-scale again. In my opinion, besides being the most realistic, there are many options, like flex track which I used a lot. As you could see, I had trains running at a pretty good speed. The only issue would be older rolling stock that had over-sized flanges for this track. Like I said in the video, only my failing close up vision and the fact that I had the space, sent me to HO scale. I'd be very happy to answer any other questions as you build your layout.
