Great VDO. I have one. The green frequency selector or the left side doesn't match right. For example to get 1K on the right channel (green band) the freq selector has to be on 1.5k. Can this be fixed?

9m25s if you want precision for mastering purposes you have to have the stepped switches (???) is that what he said "stepped switches" ??? did someone understand this better than i did ?

yes as it happens potentiometers carry a +-10% tolerance (sometimes even 20%) so when you set 2 pots in the same position it is very unlikely you'll get the same resistor value and therefor gain, centre frequency or Q value. funny isn't?

What do the mods do?

absolutely nothing.... the eq only uses non polarised poly capacitors in the signal path.the electrolitics are only there as . power decoupling. unfortunately when people see electrolitics capacitor they seem to think that they must replace them with expensive "audio caps". so the electrolitycs on the cards were replaced with Rifa electrolitics. that makes absolutely no difference to sound at all... :-D

Im sorry maybe I did not explain myself correctly. The mod was not put in by us, it was done prior to be sent in. The mod does absolutely nothing to the sound
