It's funny, but apart from Jude who did some really awful things to Lana and other inmates I actually didn't find Constance, Fiona or Elsa to be despicable mostly owing to the fact that there were a lot of redeeming situations and moments in which it was clear that they weren't awful people deep down, just deeply damaged in some way. Even Jude kind of redeemed herself in the end. Jessica's characters were complicated, but I wouldn't say despicable.

Elsa played the moral high ground on how she brought that family together and on multiple occasions didn’t hesitate to sell them out for a chance at fame. And even had the audacity to deny doing those things to her alleged family. Fiona was eager and willing to sell her daughters soul for immortality leading to even papa legba of all people telling her she has no soul. Constance was a neglectful and abusive mother constantly treating her mental daughter as a burden and blaming her for everything that goes wrong in her life. Those three are still despicable in my book.

One of my favorite and what I think is the best season in AHS, hands down. When I first watched this season, I did enjoy it but after rewatching it, wow. Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange were at the top of their game and gave all to their characters and performance. The squirrel scene, chills. There’s a lot to digest which is why I always rewatch and recommend others to do so. I really cannot praise this season enough, and Jessica Lange is simply amazing and whom I would love to just meet one day (yes it’s on my bucket list.)

Ahs is actually genius when it comes to character development: we all hate and fear the nutcases, the serial killers and the freaks at first, but by the second half of the season we're laughing and crying because we've learned to love them and realise that despite the outside, they have their traumatic pasts and their softer sides ❤ one of the many reasons why I love this show~
