Story about two people falling in love and the stresses of life that could be related to by most people.
On the surface, the thought of Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura getting along would be the last thing in people's minds. After all, Hori has a perfect combination of beauty and brains, while Miyamura appears meek and distant to his fellow classmates. However, a fateful meeting between the two lays both of their hidden selves bare. Even though she is popular at school, Hori has little time to socialize with her friends due to housework. On the other hand, Miyamura lives under the noses of his peers, his body bearing secret tattoos and piercings that make him look like a gentle delinquent.
Having opposite personalities yet sharing odd similarities, the two quickly become friends and often spend time together in Hori's home. As they both emerge from their shells, they share with each other a side of themselves concealed from the outside world.

Missing Pieces is doing their best to make me love Yuki. I like seeing her so upbeat, especially when I know how she really thinks of herself in the OF season.

I liked Yuki from the beginning especially after knowing her backstory. She always backed out of wanting something and always let others have it and therefore always losing. But this is the first time she is fighting for something she wants and that something is Toru. The first time she isnt giving up on something and fight for it and thats a wonderful thing. Obviously its sad for Sakura but to be honest it would have been even sadder for Yuki if she had just given up on him like she did on everything else. Thats what we call character development. If she would have backed out again and let Sakura have Toru I would have lost all respect for her honestly.

Honestly...one thing that i've never understood is why Sakura standers hate Yuki so much but not Tooru, since he also lied and didn't want to make things clear when he could. In my eyes, the fault falls on both of them, not only on Yuki. It just showed how he also felt towards her...

@@pbgamer25 when you think about it, considering Tooru still likes Yuki, even if he's lying about them dating, it's not like he's really giving Sakura any false hope that his feelings can be turned, which is worst than turning her down with a lie imo

@@darknessknows1235 10 in 10 times i see a Sakura stander, they totally ignore the fact that Tooru not only lied, he CONTINUED the lie...it was a rejection, but at that time, Yuki was no longer telling him to lie. He did that of his own volition, yet people tend to conviniently "forget" that.

@@N74.Joseph i used to enjoy this story 100%, but after the anime it got down to 50% bc of Sakura standers hating on Yuki...instead of trying to understand what was going on, everyone blamed her alone. I'm a simple person: i WANT the main group to be together. If there are 2 boys and 2 girls, i'll root for them. Sakura was NEVER part of the main group, that's why i didn't feel too much for her in the end. She could get together with another boy, but Tooru x Yuki was meant to be imo.

OMG.... I think this is the most that I have ever laughed during any of the reactions of seen with you guys.... and I've laughed a lot during your reactions!! 🤣🤣🤣 The Sports day story arc was the one that I was the most disappointed when it wasn't included in Season 1. So I was ecstatic when I found out it was covered in Season 2. I've seen a lot of KZbin videos of actual Sport days at Japanese high schools, so I'm pretty sure they happen in real life (not just in anime or on TV shows). I don't know if all schools have them, but it appears to be a fairly consistent aspect in Japanese schools. However, Miyamura's story (and Sengoku) does illustrate the possibility that not everyone likes them and/or have good memories about them, even if they look pretty cool to us westerners. Having been terrible at sports in high school (like Sengoku), I'm pretty sure that I would not have enjoyed them myself. 😛

Ya, sports day in Japan is a normal thing. Other Asian countries have sports days too. Japan school events are assigned to students and they have the responsibility and take part in it and it lets people work together to bring forth an event they work hard for and enjoy the fruition benefits. And Japan start their kids young, in grade school children in school have the responsibility to clean their classrooms and school, prepare to serve out school meals prepared by the school and also clean up again and washing and recycling the milk carton boxes everyone have drunk for their meals. That why in my opinion, Ishikawa is the most pathetic guy in this series. Rejected by Hori, and choose to have unclear relationship with toxic girl like yuki. Sakura deserved much2 better man than ishikawa. Maybe shu? 🤣
