I’m a Scotsman who moved to Massachusetts twenty years ago and took a stray cat who adopted me along with me,he loved living in Massachusetts where he spent every minute hunting chipmunks.When he died of old age a few years ago I adopted a black cat who had a very tough start to life,he had been handed over to my vet by a kind cat lover who though he would be put down,but the vet decided to try and save him.Luckily he survived but lost an eye, he stayed at the vets for three months and then I took him home, he has now been living with me for ten years in luxury and is very happy and healthy,the loss of the eye has not affected him in any way,I thought it might affect his balance but luckily he is just like a normal cat.I love your videos and am proud of what you have done for Nala,I have also recommended your videos to friends and family in the US who also love your videos.Like you I also worked in the oil industry,mostly on pipelines,looking forward to seeing more of you both touring in the van,best wishes and good luck for the future

She's older no longer the long legged kitten. A cat aged 2 is 25yrs old human equivalent. Age approx,4 yrs for ever succeeding year. Vet in Budva estimated Nala born in October 2018.

They're both elderly, with both being at greater risk of health complications because of their health conditions - dad with his heart and mum with cancer (recovered) and rheumatoid arthritis. In late 1983, my sister and I travelled through Scotland -- met up with several gregarious Aussie women and other friends at a hostel -- might have been the Pitlochry hostel. Anyway ... off we went in their rented VW van. One of our stops was the famous Loch Ness and upon return to Canada we got our photos developed and decided to have a bit of fun and drew in a faint outline of Nessie swimming in the Loch. I had a dear aunt, who was quite innocent/unworldly, and she was impressed that we actually managed to get a glimpse of Nessie! I'm really enjoying your travels and the stories you are telling and the encounters you have as you travel through life with the wonderful Nala. So great that your family was there for support.

We’re in the same condition here in California, after 20 years of extreme drought. We’re in our seventh day of 105+F temperatures, with some locations up to 115F. Tomorrow it will “cool down”, to 95F. We are really longing to see rain again. We got almost two feet of rain last year, but it all came in one day and night!

Just passed my driving test 3 months ago so were in the Scottish borders for a few days in a self catering with the cats Fergus and lanna. Name for the van is perfect.. 😘! Only thing Dean needs now is an artist to paint a 'Nessie' 🐉 on the side. Don't think his Grandmother would appreciate her pic. on the side (her face is already on the optional tire cover 😉). Glad Dean's recovered and looking forward to seeing his (& Nala's) nc500 trip! PS - His van came at a very opportune time, for he was able isolate himself from others when he came down with COVID. Feel a lot safer for him & Nala in that puttering van rather than having to ride his 🚲 everywhere. When Dean uses his bicycle now he won't have to carry his world (tent, sleeping bag, drone, food, etc.) behind him which will help save his knee's. Most importantly they now always have a safe place to sleep. Also Nala loves it & feels safe in such as well. She's not freaking out meowing waiting for Dean to return to a strange hotel room anymore (more room for her to roam around at night compared to a tent & warmer). Aspects that can't be underestimated.

We love Pitlochery.It's a nice wee town. There is lovely scenery round and about.So glad the campervan is called Nessie. Nala loves her tower.😀

I have a friend who lives in the north not far fom a distillery. The name is Hamilton I believe, it's infused with herbs and such. We can't get it in the states. Bugger.
