I had to live in a van for 3 months while waiting for my house to be built. I got so sick of people knocking on my doors asking me why I was parked there, calling the cops and getting me to move. I bought two large, removable magnets with a fake plumbing business logo and number. I put them on either side of my van and tied a ladder and some other things to the top. I was never bothered again! It was amazing. If people think you have a reason to be there they won't bother you.

I wouldn't use a plumbing business, as tool thieves may try to break into your vehicle. Something like a chemicals business or waste disposal will work better.

Another great video, great to see two people living life to the full. If i didn't have a boat anchor house and mortgage i would love to take the plunge. As for seeing who is knocking on the door at night or when you are inside i would fit a spy camera so you can see who it is, on both sides of the van.

A couple of years ago we overnighted in Tesco Stratford on Avon in our non stealth 7.5m van. We did it by the book, checked it was OK at customer services desk and they booked us in as a Tesco visitor. Bought meal ingredients in store (huge wine list available!) and used the loos. Next day we asked if we could stay the night again and they extended our visitor status.

I see someone else has mentioned this. Always look for cameras as you go into any supermarket/retail park car park. They clock you in and clock you out, then you get a letter in the post if you have overstayed your time. I got a letter after I was four minutes over at Aldi car park. I took it to the store manager, with the receipt that I had spent £33, and he cancelled the fine for me. ilona

Really surprised that you found a Tesco car park without parking restrictions, normally you can't get away from those ANPR cameras. I am pleased that you managed to evade unwanted attention and reap the benefits of a 3day park up for free @ Tesco's car park. Liam's Goulash looked amazing! That was brilliant, Morgan looks gorgeous all decked out. Great idea about donating to the food bank. A lot of Tesco (and Morrisons) are fine with people parking in their car parks overnight, just look out for the ones that give you just 3 hours, they have APNR cameras and will fine you if you go over the time allowed. So glad you had peace and quiet for a few days.....and the drone footage.....it was so good xx

Hey you guys, I know that spot! I had my narrowboat moored up on that stretch this year and walked past the Tesco car park every day! I know about the boy racers- they are really loud all the way from Southam, a couple of miles after Leamington and all the way through to Warwick. Sooooo noisy!!!! Just found your channel! What a great set up, had 3 vans( all motorhomes) but sold our last beauty as building our dream house currently . Saw the cruise vlog and sent it to our friends for us all to do next year. You guys are brilliant! What a great episode! You guys really have made it nice in there. What a breathe of fresh air see you guys have a great couple of days enjoying the simple things, which is all that matters. Side note, I wonder if anyone over there still builds castles like that. Seems like an environmentally friendly way of building sourcing stones etc from just around the castle. Plus stone is a really good insulator. HMMMMMMM oh and fun fact I live just 15 miles from the biggest castle imported from England. Thornewood Castle, you should google it its really cool! It was brought over brick by brick more than a hundred years ago and re assembled in lakewood, wa. cheers.

I have been on a number of great ship cruises. To France Spain Guernsey and Gothenburg for very little. The off season is particularly cheap. The cheapest was 15 pounds. The best was to Gothenburg. Always fun. You do not need a massive place to sleep. Enjoy.

A guy I work with stopped in at Tesco in his VW camper on his way home. He needed fuel but it was busy so he went back the following morning. A week or so later he got a fine. His registration was clocked only going in in the evening then only coming out in the morning.

For future reference...if it's a regular supermarket. It's probably best to park at the back of the carpark. I only think this because I did Christmas cover a few years back at Sainos and they told us to park at the back end of the carpark. This was because we worked 10am - 8am and the supermarket opened at 7am. This obviously gave customers priority to park down the front for ease to the store. Just a thought....but as this Tesco is a 24/7 and the carpark is massive, I don't really think it matters. Love your stuff. I've got a van and just been binging your stuff...I was working on the van but started pissing it down!

I loved your stealth camp vlog and how you had fun just being and doing the ordinary things but with appreciation and then giving back to that community, it's probs more than Tesco does, they just want everyone to buy their products and extra for the food bank, these supermarkets profit from these foodbanks because when I asked if these supermarkets also donate ,they told me they provide the basket for the donations. That's why I like to bring things I haven't used from home that aren't necessarily from the same shop then they are not profiting from the poor.

That's a good point, and shameful for tesco not to also donate. I just assumed that all out of date products go to the homeless, and on top of that they also donated other stuff

@@ThoseHappyDays unfortunately they have to obey strict guidelines on out of date food probably because of legal action, I had this arguement also with a school I work at because they throw out masses of food at the end of the week that hasn't been bought so I asked the food suppliers can they not let the soup kitchens collect it and they gave me this answer even though the food was still in sell buy date. They could of at least let the children take it home, it's all nonsense and waste.

If you ever come back to Milton Keynes there’s a lovely Waitrose Supermarket at Oakgrove Village with a lovely car park free over night parking, and also free Cafe Nero Coffee at Waitrose, you just take your own coffee travel cup.
