The one flaw in narcissistic mimicry is that they cannot copy your energy. If they only copy what is on the surface, its becomes more obvious that something is fishy.

Maria Valkyrie this is exactly true. What makes you, you is not just your image that you put out to the world but the energy you have.. your SOUL itself. No one can steal this from you. When people hangout with them they will eventually catch on to the fact that they are fake just like you did.. but when people are with you they love that energy you’re giving off naturally. That’s why the narcissist imitates you and hates you because they can not get the same reaction from people that you get from people. They really think that people will react to them in the same way if they Copy everything you do.. but that’s false it’s the energy which can’t be replicated

They can, then can abuse you to the point that you are defending your self reacting and almost toxic yourself! They will start to do really well and pretty much try and get away will all of it

Yup my Narc ''friend' mimicked my personality it's absolutely terrifying and creepy Once I caught on to her bs I started keeping my distance. She stalks my pintrest all the time hoping to see ideas I pinned for my wedding but I have the board private. She is nuts!

I had a narc that studied me in private, mimicked me publicly, (I was a private person, and she wore elements of other people's personalities like one would wear a fur coat) and then slandered me publicly. I would say something in private one day, and the next day, she would say the exact thing, verbatim, in front of a roomful of people, always presenting it as her own thoughts. I keep waiting and hoping for karma to deliver her just desserts.

Yes! My mother and little sister that is 34 yrs. old does this to me. My sister copies everything, even the way I dress.

I have a girl in my uni she's literally staring at me on the lessons😭😭😭 every second, even if I put my bag on the table and hide behind it, she literally leans back/forward to be looking at me😭😭😭

Thank you for bringing up the topic of them mimicking. The Narcissist friend that I used to have did that with mimicking the times that I would like to call or get together as if to want to impress me. Even though their intentions may be too impress, but I thought it was quite creepy. You also mentioned that they are a predator and parasite. I also felt that because I felt this person was smothering and somewhat stalking me in a weird creepy emotional spiritual way. I'm so glad and free to moved on from that person.

I'm going through this with a neighbor ! She has attached herself to EVERY ONE of my friends that she has met. Two of them became friends with her & she actually destroyed one of those friendships between them & me. Others noticed it immediately & pulled away from her. It's INSANE

My sister visited me and I showed her some vintage items I had purchased that I was really pleased with. About a year later I visited her home, only to find the IDENTICAL items in her home! They had no significance to her life, but they did to mine. I was horrified. Later, we were at an antique store. They had about 2 dozen teapots. I liked one but told my sister I would think on it 24 hours. Went back the next day and it was sold. Talking to my sister I expressed disappointment that of all the teapots they had, it would be that one that sold. She expressed disappointment for me as well. Then it turned out that SHE had returned to the store and bought the teapot for herself!

What confuses me is when the golden child who is the narcissist in training with the identity crisis copies the scapegoat but mocks them at the same time. My younger golden child sibling would copy everything I do from my habits, talking points, beliefs and ideas while always making me feel like I was the failure of the family who always needed to be corrected. My covert narc mother and my sibling have criticisms for me all day while they are in an emotional incest type of relationship ever since my mother divorced my father so she relies on her golden child son to fulfil her emotional needs. They both would criticise me for drinking tea and then turned around and both became addicted to that same tea I drink. All I do is live my life in my own identity and by the laws of the universe and the love of the creator I ended up the one with most interesting life following and achieving my dreams while all my narc family does is claim my success and criticise anything I decide to do in life. I am so glad that I left for good and found my inner peace in every way.

Li Lani thank you for your comments. When someone with a narcissistic personality or another type of cluster B personality embeds(insert) or attempts to copy the energy, it's another way that he or she uses a copycat tactic. Mimicking is an aspect of energy harvesting that can lead to enmeshment.

I have experienced this and I just discarded a narcissist female due to this it's like she tried to steal my identity everything I do she tries to do too but only with her parents money not her own and then gets mad when I don't acknowledge your praise her for it. I discarded her right when I sensed she was digging in her bag of tricks for the next phase of the devaluation that she had wanted to execute. She had plans for me... then the wierdo got shut down😁

Targeted prey can get really conned with this imitating. I recall my disordered mother sending me a big parcel of gifts on my 25th birthday. My reaction was "Wow she must really care about me". Its only recently (22 years later) that I realized she was copying me as I used to send her lots of presents for her birthday. I recall when I first did that at 17 and she said "Nobody has ever done anything like that for me in my life". Two months later I was getting tortured by the sociopath my disordered grandmother had pressured me to go out with for two years. I was living with him and couldn't escape. My mothers response "That's not domestic violence, it's not like you are getting dragged around by your hair". She refused to assist me to escape in any way. Her and my grandmother continued socializing with the sociopathic abuser and blamed me for any problems. I just want victims to realise that this imitating extends to doing what appears to be really beautiful gestures to others, like giving lovely presents. It can be very confusing as how could my 'mother' be hateful and loving at the same time? Enter cognitive dissonance. I also want to add that at the same time as turning her back on me whilst I was getting choked, threatened with weapons, thrown, hit, sexually abused, abused by proxy, my 'mother' was working with abused women at a domestic violence abuse shelter, imitating someone who cared about abuse. There are no limits to how low these people will sink. Stay strong survivors and when you learn to recognize the beautiful qualities you have inside- the same qualities these empty people are drawn to and can never cultivate for themselves- life starts getting better. The mirror the malignant narcissist (that targeted me last) held up to me showed me who I was when I just didn't recognize my lovely, caring qualities beforehand. He wanted to copy my whole career, but then failed on first attempt. I mentored him, but during the devaluation, he would then see the mentorship as me being "one up" above him and scream at me.

My therapist calls it copycat narcissism. I have an ex who has replaced me in the recovery community, who has taken on my history and life story and who is pretending to be an alcoholic in AA community. My former AA community because she used that to attack me and ruin my life. I pretty much just moved out of that city, but she also has engaged satanists to do cuirses on me for the purpose of ending my life. The copycat narcissist is really the worst kind of person. They want to take on your personality and popularity, and they are extremely duplicitous and charismatically deceptive. It's certainly real, but it sure doesn't seem like it can be until it happens to you. They don't feel their own existence unless it's about them and people are giving them constant feedback. Attention whores of the first water. Very bad for the recovery community.

Ahh thats exactly how i feel, as though they put themselves in you and your left with their toxicity and doubting yourself and they walk around with your personality, its heartbreaking and really hard retraining yourself back to you xxx

My brothe used to copy different types of people from his friends to the last one who is my sister..he copies their behaviour mannerism quotes and the way they talk (esp very noticable particular behaviours to that is unique to that person)..lastly now its me and i dont like that..now that he sences that..he will stay with that..he is very insecure inside...i know this..when he finds me enjoying myself or doing things that only he finds me doing..hes expression turns sad as if ive one up him,hes tone change into hes weak self...

Yess, he had a meltdown after he set up a scene in public. I was befuddled and didn't want to cater to him acting like a child. I ran from him in the end even though the empathic person in me wanted to help him. I don't doubt he's out there mimicking my traits to others. I go for walks near the river close to my house. It helps clear my mind and I have more peace in nature. Thank you for these videos. There is a lot of narcissism in society today.

yrs ago i remember having this feeling that he watches closley then i went to work at the same place he did and find a guy who only eats tuna for lunch everyday for yrs, it hits me, larry had started eatting only pb jelly which for the 30yrs i knew him he had these sad stories about why he wouldnt and couldnt eat one. then he starts only eating them. it was an awakening for me, as every friend he got at each job he became obssessed with, started acting like them ,saying same thimgs etc.. but at that time i didnt understand it. now its me he's mimicing and i find it creepy.because ive told him about my knowledgeof him being a covert narc from what my therapist and research found and he acts like so what its odd NO EMOTIONS BUT WHEN HE DOES HAVE THEM ITS SATINE.
