@@ocsjc13 That is correct however, it’s the equivalent of trekking in Somalia’s desert. You’ll find pure freedom unadulterated but a trade off is expect for chaos since the state has no reign only factions and tribalism

@@ocsjc13Free to get killed, enslaved or ransomed by whatever cartel holds that area at any given time. I’ve never seen it myself, I dated a girl who was the first of her family born in the US, both of her grandfathers died to various cartels, a few uncles did too but others joined but they died violent deaths too or lived out their days in prison. Her mother and father were smart and came here before she was born while her older siblings were born there. Her one living grandmother lives in a tourist town now and her family up here pays her super high rent to keep her safe. I realize not everywhere is like that but don’t church it up, Mexico is a dangerous place even for Mexicans much less gringos. If living like that is freedom they can keep it

Man they really fucked up the Thenn in the show, in the books they're the last true first men of the north and the most civilized among them with bronze armor. To make them boring savage cannibals is so lame

Kinda weird how they portrayed the Thenns. Sure they're brutal and warlike, but definitely not savages or animalistic. They're a proud culture with advanced armor and weaponry with a sense of honor to them. They're so similar to the traditional houses that Alys Karstark agrees to marry the Magnar of Thenn and establish a new house. The show missed a really good story and an interesting group of people. Dumbed it down as they did with everything else past season 3.
