What is something you had to unlearn regarding natural hair?

Something I had to unlearn is that new is not always better. I was a product junkie. & I feel like now, I know what works for me hair when it comes to styling, & I don’t want to stray too much from what works, just to try something new & it fail & my money/time be wasted! Thanks for the video! I hope you do one on texturism.

Yes! That is so true! Sticking with what is tried and true until you have a reason (hopefully you won’t have one) to switch is best. I’m been trying to be more minimalist with my hair and beauty products and it’s so relieving to not waste unnecessary space just because. Thank you so much for sharing! 🤎 No problem! Well for me not washing is something they would say back then so hair could. I always my hair even I had relaxed hair but not every week (it was washed in the salon ). But when I decided to transition I decided to do it every week even it was hard. When you sit down and think about this myth it doesn’t make any sense.

Thank you for sharing! I think the “not washing” may have stemmed from trying to maintain styles for as long as possible especially if they were done professionally or took a long time. I personally love washing my hair and with the heat and humidity and my workouts, it has to get washed once a week. I agree it doesn’t make sense especially when you consider all the things you do and people you’re around when you leave your home.
