Dr Lee was very recently on William Albrecht's channel too. Dr Lee is amazing, a testament to the scriptural nature of the books Protestants reject, because having studied this in-depth, he believes in the inspiration, while being a Baptist to this day.

Most traditional Christian traditions have some kind of inerrancy doctrine. I know he’s evangelical and not Catholic, but it would be nice to try to be more faithful to the larger Christian Tradition and somehow harmonize inerrancy even with the human element of scripture. Vatican II deliberations had major back and forths on how to talk about inerrancy, and it ultimately speaks to some kind of inerrancy but doesn’t really go into detail about “how.”

After listening to Dr. McDonald, I’ve gained, what I believe to be, a significant insight. After the East-West schism, the West tended toward a hyper-rationalism best expressed by the systematic theology of St. Thomas. The “inerrancy of scripture” is an imperfect rational description of the God-breathed perfection of Sacred Scripture. The “infallibility of the pope” is an imperfect rational description of the God-preserved perfection of the papacy.

interesting comments on inerrancy 👍 though it seems then that many things the bible says are just _prima facie_ false.....😬
