Finally an evangelical Pastor with enough manliness AND HONESTY to face a very controversial topic. Hopefully he has motivated some to investigate further so that what is true will not be a second hand opinion.

This conversation is needed. It would be a shame to be 100% convinced of something that might misrepresent the character of God. Thanks for doing the research and being transparent!

I saw this last night at 6 p.m. Pastor Robert as usual the teaching on the subject of hell was spirit and mind bending. I love your stance on this controversial subject and how you stick to what God's word says. Looking forward to next week unless of course Jesus comes for us! May our Lord continually bless you and protect you and your family.

Well Pastor, I kind of expected more. I heard 5 minutes on the difference between harresy and false teaching but didn't hear anything about wether the Greek and Hebrew words for punishment, destruction, eternal were all the same or if different words were translated the same. Not even sure I heard all the words that are translated as Hell. I look forward to part 2... And yes your WELCOME... 😂

Not an easy subject to face head on and study. Thank you for your honest approach, I am vexed by the thought of hell too. I am going to buy the Francis Chan book and be watching the next week. With the popularity of NDE videos, many with the dying person going to hell, this subject is being discussed more than ever. Knowing that God is omnipresent and omniscient He would always be aware that billions of souls were suffering in ECT. That is hard to grasp but I will always believe and trust the word of God over my limited understanding or feelings.

I enjoyed it and look forward to part 2 next week. I will say that I'm not 100% on ECT and that is based upon my understanding of what life will be like after God's judgment. Once all sin and unrighteousness has been judged and destroyed, all that will remain will be the righteous followers of God living in perfection as before the fall (except perhaps with the knowledge of good and evil). That's my understanding of Scripture, and with that view, it makes more sense that the unrighteous will simply be gone, instead of suffering in torment somewhere. So, maybe. I am 100% convinced that Rob Bell and universalism are wrong, though, and I think the idea of being saved after death is incompatible with Scripture.

But doesn't this message give unbelievers who don't want to believe the benefit of the doubt they might say well if this is true I will eventually perish I wont exist anymore if this is indeed true so be it hell never sound more appealing despite a few punishments im food fo worms basically. ...😢

Cause if the other is true how we have been taught for a long time hell is fire and brimstone then that motivates people to come to Christ I don't want to suffer and burn forever and ever

Let cover this in a Q&A please

Believing the Word is not what makes it true. God is Truth regardless of our thoughts (beliefs)... if they (non-believers) are entertaining the idea of hell they must also entertain the full context within which hell exists. That means accepting their end in hell (even hypothetically) they've chosen intentionally to ignore or oppose God and the possibility of eternity in heaven. They're fooling themselves.

I think most unbelievers don"t believe in hell because it is so unbelievable. ECT does not commend itself to man'S conscience...a few years of sin does not appear fair or justifiable to warrant neverending torment. Degrees of punishment after judgment seems more likely to deter ignoring God because it is reasonable and fair...and the punishment is immediate.

The only future of the Ungodly is destruction. There is no hell. I'm gonna Watch this sermon but i needed to put it out there. Hell is transalteded from Gehenna, meaning second death, also Hades, Sheol and one other word is all translated to hell, which wasnt an established idea at the early church. Jesus didnt have the gospel of Hell. Sin is transgression of the law, does the Bible say, and sin leads to death and it eventually may lead to the second death, eternal absence from God the lifegiver.
