In the film version, HMS Troutbridge was also an inshore minesweeper

@@swanseamale47 yep. Only Leslie Phillips featured in the film (but as Sub-Lieutenant Putter rather than his own name). According to Ronnie Barker, he (and other cast members) were intended to appear but because he spoke out in support of Dennis Price (the original number 1 in the radio series), apparently the producer refused to cast him. Ronnie claimed it was because the producer didn't want the "gay" Price to appear.

at least HMS Varsity got to go to the scrap yard under her own steam rather gone there under tow. many old steam ships didn't go out with all their pride
