Eichmann certainly showed initiative in his bureaucratic roles, and that is probably being polite. I think in a lot of cases, it was jobs for the boys, they met the criteria. He could have refused, but he was well aware of what that meant, so a case of me or them.the answer is obvious, self preservation.

Just read history before commenting. Bavaria was an independent kingdom for hundreds of years. Germany was only formed in 1875 whatever the bullshit Prussians say. You could argue that it was Austrian as the Hapsburg held the title of Holy Roman Emperor for centuries. It’s a younger state than America.

@@andrewnicholson2970 actually you're off by 4 to 5 years on the the foundation of the 2nd Germany Empire. It's not just Prussian historians but every other historians that dates the foundation of the 2nd Germany Empire to 1870/71 which happened after Franco-Prussian war of 1870.
