He is NOT unguardable. Sometimes you need to be able to go and get FORTY in a game. Jokic has to step up vs Minnesota. No excuses. He's not a good enough pure scorer despite all the gaudy stats. My litmus test is: can you CONSISTENTLY beat your man straight up that you command double teams? Jokic is GREAT but I lets pump the brakes on him being top 10 all time or best offensive player ever (nonsense). He's great for THIS WEAK ERA, but he has to show us more in terms of championships before im convinced he's even as good as Hakeem (i dont think so, not yet). Minnesota is targeting him on defense too. Guys who can score at will, AND are apex defenders, to me, will always be above guys like Jokic who only really add surplus value on offense. Minnesota is SHOWING: defense really does win championships. If Jokic gets swept - and i think its a real possibility - it makes the Lakers look like even bigger frauds and it also makes all those advanced analytics and stats seem IRRELEVANT. Who cares who's first in PER, Ant Edwards looks like the most unstoppable player on the court, either team. Stats are for losers: did you win or did you lose? I also LOVE this because Jokic has WAY better consistent advanced analytics numbers than Lebron (Lebron NEVER led the NBA in PER for 4 straight seasons like Jokic just did), so we can credibly argue Jokic > Lebron on PURE STATS (which i love because Bronsexuals love using stats to prop their PED-injecting fraud).

Jokic hasn't quite been himself this postseason. The Nuggets themselves feel sluggish and off their game. That being said, a near 28-point triple -double from Jokic being seen as him underperforming speaks to the level of play he's at.

Yeaaah, Jokic's 6 game playoff averages to this point are: 28.8 points, 14.8 rebounds and 9.7 assists on 56% shooting. All of those numbers are an improvement over last season's run, except he is scoring 1.2 points less currently. The MAJOR difference is Murray. Last year, he shot 47% from the field and 40% from 3 in the playoffs. He is at 40% and 31% currently. Just not good enough. The nuggets right now are sporting a +0.7 point per game differential in these playoffs. They just need him to be a little better on BOTH sides.

I still have Wolves winning for the exact reason stated by Skap. Murray is not 100% and KCP supposedly got injured in game 4 vs Lakers. But he might have just done it as a favor to LeBron and Klutch sports since he would have gotten swept twice by Nuggets. Honestly as a Lakers fan, it is hard having LeBron here. On a side note, this reminds me of just how difficult it is to do a championship repeat. as you can see over the years now with denver, bucks, gsw etc.. As soon as one team builds a championship winning team, somewhere out there an NBA team is being built to compete /counter specifically with that championship team so much so, that champion teams have a very narrow window of opportunity to even repeat say 1-2 years after 1st champion.... my point? now imagine doing it back to back to back, and retire for 2 years, and with minimal retooling, do it again back to back to back. Damnnn... just makes you appreciate the real GOAT and the worthy other greats.
