It's just a coping mechanism. People experiencing cognitive dissonance/having their preconceived notions shattered is very uncomfortable. Most people would rather cling to their belief than be open to new views. I don't think they even believe it. But hurling accusations at the competition knowing they are true about yourself tends to work really well. Especially when you have a loud brain dead group to push your narrative. LeBitch/LeVaccine/LeBalco/LeFlop has never been what his fans think he is, and as it gets exposed, especially in such an obvious and legacy tainting manner they will lash out in anger.

it's because a lot of people only started thinking about jokic after he won his 2nd mvp. jokic has been playing his way since his rookie season and he got better every year. jokic has been 1 or 2 assists shy of averaging a triple double for the past 3 seasons or so.

NBA is a superstar cult. Those who are selected as superstars are allowed to carry, travel and run over defenders to make defence impossible. And out of these superstars one is selected as 'the GOAT' and he will remain the goat for several years no matter what. The goat gets even more special treatment than regular superstars. NBA wants to create superhuman stories. Team play, fair play and sports ethics are irrelevant.

Yuppp. It's why i stopped watching after Kobes last game. Say what you want about Kobe, he DID NOT FLOP, he worked his BUTT off, and he earned his legacy. LeSteroids turned the NBA into one big scam. If it wasn't for Curry, ratings would be in the tank 10 years ago. Now THEY ARE in the tank. Hockey some nights gets better ratings than the NBA, that was UNHEARD of during the MJ era, the Kobe Era, and the early parts of the Curry Era. Now? They suck.

@@feynmanschwingere_mc2270 I would argue that there were signs of the superstar cult in MJ's era also but it's gone too far now. At least back then you really had to earn your stats and be really tough. I think the same reasons I gave earlier has lead to games turning into NBA Jam (video game from the 90's). When you can't defend anymore everyone is chugging threes or just running straight down the middle for a dunk. Both after a few fakes that woulld have been a carry 20 years ago.

No lie. The LeBron era ruined the NBA for me. The entitled athlete, stat padding, traveling, lack of defense, complaining to refs, sitting out games when healthy, etc. The disconnect from the average fan to the NBA player is getting bigger and bigger by the season. The flopping really annoys me, and seems to be getting worse rather than slowing down. Or how LeBron initiates contact bulldozing to the rim, yet gets a foul call in his favor. While traveling on top of that, with no call. I could go on and on. And I say all of that to say that up to a year or so ago I though I was the only one who thought this about LeBron. I thought he was the golden child that everyone loved. So its refreshing seeing channels like you and others calling it out. I come from the tail end of Jordan era, and Kobe was my Jordan. Kobe basically picked up where Jordan left off. Then LeBron comes in and just ruins everything I love about the game. And not only that, but gets celebrated more than any NBA player I have ever witnessed. So though LeBron has his media company that will spend millions giving revisionist history in the coming years, at least we have channels like this that offer a more sobering and honest perspective of his legacy. Keep it up, as someone who really loves this sport at its best, you're doing great work. lol

Dude, you echoed my sentiments PERFECTLY. I also think you're under-appreciating HOW MANY PEOPLE HATE LeBron. I was at an LA Fitness in Miami, which you'd think would be a hotbed of LeBron fanboys, right? I casually asked some hoopers ranging from 17 to about 37 years old, who was better MJ, Kobe, LeBron, or somebody else? ONE person called LeBron the GOAT out of the 20 or so people i asked at the gym there. One (the 17 year old who doesn't know any better and has, clearly, been propagandized by ESPN and Klutch). I was shocked how many picked MJ or Kobe. A few even picked Durant. MANY said Wade was the better player than LeBron. So i guess what I'm trying to say is that even his popularity is a contrivance. Kobes shoes outsell his. MJs shoes outsell his. Kyries, prior to all the controversies, were actually catching up to Lebrons in total sales. And this is despite him changing the design of his sneakers to look more like Kobes (a Reddit user showed before and after pics of Lebrons signature shoes showing how they are now mimicking the design of the Mambas, pathetic). Everything about the guy is a lie and is fraudulent. His PED use. Everything. Remember the 2021 Super Bowl in LA? AFTER he won the Bubble ring, he was shown on the jumbotron was resoundingly BOOED to death by thousands of people there. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 That would never in a million years happen to Kobe or MJ. TRUST me. Subscribe to Skap Attack on KZbin. Trust me, there are PLENTY of channels which tell the truth about LeSteroids.

You brought out a lot of good points on how LeBron has ruined the NBA! 🙌 Add load management. LeBron has been taking games off for a decade now, trying to extend how many seasons he plays. This has become a trend in the NBA now. Also add conserving effort. LeBron only puts effort into playing offense in a game. He’s just a traffic cone on defense 90 percent of any given game. And now look how that mentality is polluting the NBA. Just recently Ja Morant said he’s going to stop dunking to conserve effort and physicality on offense (supposedly to extend his career). No doubt LeBron’s influence has ruined the NBA in so many ways! It’ll be a step in the right direction when he retires.

@@the_micherI'm throughly convinced the NBA became the WWE once this FRAUD became the main attraction in the post-Kobe era. Kobe was the last true genius to play hoops. Curry was great, as was KD, but the LeSteroids era has ruined the NBA. Since 2012, after Dirk won, the NBA has slowly become the WWE. They rigged the 2013 finals vs OKC for him (go watch how many phantom calls he got in that series), they rigged the 2016 finals for him, they even rigged the 2020 Finals for him. It's a JOKE.

same thing with fouls. if Jokic got the same foul calls as lebron and embiid, he'd be averaging 50ppg. because it's not just those extra free throws, it's the defender being in foul trouble, and also defenders having to guard Jokic without slapping him 15 times per possession.

He's a pathological liar who makes up fake hate crimes (when there are PLENTY of real hate crimes), gets coaches fired, gets teammates traded AFTER they take less money to play with him, cheats on his wife, uses his son as a prop for his own legacy, uses PEDs, has his best friend Mims run an illegal gambling ring, and destroyed the most popular brand in the NBA, the Lakers. All to massage his infantile ego. Oh and it's unclear if he even knows how to read. The dude got JJ Reddick hired, the most arrogant scumbag I've ever seen. His press conferences are insufferable.

This is also why Stockton and Kidds assists are so much more impressive than a lot players today. How many assists would Stock or Jkid average a game in modern basketball. Or even Magic and Bird. My guess is that Bird who almost always averaged a double double would have been a walking triple double back in his day if he was credited with the same type of assists that they are crediting players today with.

I've recently gone back and watched a few of those 80'w Celtics and Laker games. What I noticed is exactly what you suggest: I kept saying, "wow! Seems like Bird/Magic were in on around a third of all made baskets! And there's ANOTHER assist" Yet, by the end of the game they'd have 8 or 9 assists credited. If those assists were credited like they credit today's players, those guys would have had 17 or 18 assists. If they credited them like they do Lebron's "assists," they would have had 20+ EASY. I'll say it again: Lebron James is completely manufactured. I do not think that _skill wise_ he's even top 100 all time.

It's a freaking chain-reaction. Baby bron bron gets to commit offensive foul and cry at the same time about a foul not being called on the defender. Teams know this and don't want their players to foul-out. They just live with the points being given to him. The only up-side is that sometimes he does the opposing team a favour by thinking he's good enough to not brick any shot outside of 3ft. Baby bron bron's shooting is the equalizer to the blind eye of the referees.

Bingo. And in basketball FOULS are a GAME changer: They yield "free" points, they put the other team in the penalty (so more "free" points), and they WARP how teams defend him by shying away from any contact that might give him even more cheap "free" points. It's destroyed the competitive integrity of the game. It's a chain reaction of rigging. He's allowed to play by a different set of rules than any player in NBA history (i.e. push off with his off-ball arm while driving, initiate contact while driving, INCESSANTLY complain to the refs without a technical etc), and teams know this. It's why the NBA has turned into the WWE. The amount of PHANTOM calls is also off-putting: several times per game, the opposing defender will be whistled for a foul for which there was absolutely ZERO contact. It's a farce now.

Pardom my ignorance but who is responsible for determining what constitutes an assist? Is it an in-house official that changes game-by-game or is it a central NBA office by the same individual or group? Surely it’s not someone affiliated with the Lakers organization is it? If this narrow window of examples is indicative of something that’s been going on for years then there ought to be an investigation into who’s padding LeBron’s stats and who might be (financially) influencing those decisions. Ultimately I think A.I. will not only solve this but will also be able to go back over the entire history of highlights and undo all of the damage that’s been done.

Both. The NBA "Central Office" has been known to retroactively subtract, or add, to a players stat count. But the statisticians, from what I gather, used to be from the home team. So if the Lakers played at home the guy counting the stats - who's supposed to be impartial - is the LA guy who makes the count. I think there's a small team of guys who rotate for each home game but they are the same guys. It's not random. Ill have to double check. Whats clear is, they've been cooking the books for LeBron for YEARS. People have been pointing this out since his MIAMI days so it's been going on for over 10 years. Great observation, artificial intelligence SHOULD be able to redress some of this stuff by going back to count past games. LeSteroids is the biggest fraud in sports HISTORY.

He had a mass removed from his jawline in 2009 indicating, already, PED use. 3. In 2009 he lost 4-2 to the Magic as MASSIVE favorites, when the Magic were WITHOUT Jameer Nelson and when they were +550 UNDERDOGS. Heck, it would've been 4-1 without a lucky game winner. 4. The LEASTERN Conference was even worse then (in 09) than it is NOW. This 2024 Boston would SMOKE every team in the East if they were magically teleported to 2009 for the exception of a fully healthy, and focused, 2009 Boston Celtics team. Kobe > LeSteroids MJ > LeSteroids Several others > LeSteroids Jokic will retire the king of all the advanced metrics because this era is SOFT and they've legislated defense out of the NBA. Having said that, he's one of the few GENUINELY skilled basketball geniuses left (alongside KD, Curry and that's about it, maybe a healthy Anthony Davis). Jokic should be getting the hype LeSteroids constantly gets. And Giannis is a freakish Athlete, more impressive an athlete than Lebrons ever been. But the media will never talk about him as such. If it's not a dime I don't really have a problem with it but it's WAY closer and I can see how some score keeper watching in real time could think it was. What's totally wacky is your bias. You play Joker's non-time at regular speed. Then Bron's in slow motion. It's just so ridiculous that someone is so hurt by another man's greatness they sit around editing videos building conspiracy theories that aren't there trying to undermine them.
