Hallelujah! It's a shame hardly any Christians know of Eckhart. I myself, as a very devout Christan, love Eckharts work emensily. All of these teachings are distinctly Christian, and Pauline. But could be interpreted in other ways by other faiths for their own purposes. But never the less, this is some super deep, rock solid New Testament Christianity. The core essence of Jesus Christ's spiritual work was to bring man into divine union with God through Him self by His Holy Spirit. Very few Christians today can grasp this spiritual concept even though it is so richy written all throughout the New Testament. Eckhart was such a gem. I work to learn from men like him so I can grow from this spiritual wisdom. applying it into my own life, so I may impart it to others in the Christian faith so they can see how deeply rich this New Covenant is that Jesus Christ has paid for us to receive. Hallelujah!

@@bienvenidovelasco6834 Slow down my friend. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the work of Eckhart but nothing about his lifes teachings are outside of Orthodoxy. And your claims that no one can have union with God is incredibly unscriptural. And because of this, it brought me to assume that you yourself were not a Christian and were just acting in hatred and launching judgment in my direction. Which I perceive you are in the business of doing regularly, so forgive me if I dont respond to you again. Union with God is a common biblical principle. Read John Chapter 13-17. And understand that anyone who has the Holy Ghost living inside of their physical body is in a union and communion with God through these means. Please also, if you respond, respond intelligently and dont resort to name calling and insults

@Benjamin McMahon "Solis Scriptura is the worst way to see God" Thanks for your opinion. I would rather be in Union with the person of Jesus Christ Himself, spiritually and mystically speaking, by the Holy Ghost, than to falsely see myself as Christ. Or to see myself as a God. Totally apart from the Trinity, and solely seeing myself as God/Christ, in the name of mysticism. I am in a Divine Union with God. I am not God in and of myself. Yes I'm familiar with Alternative Mysticism. The universal mysticism the rest of the world shares. The "We are all God's philosphy." I dont subscribe to it but I did a video on it. Check it out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/anPTfJyHm99jg7c

@Benjamin McMahon Also if that video interested you I did another full teaching on exactly what "Oneness/Union with God" means from an entirely N.T. Christian position. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqjHnWCha7aWo80 What makes this video unique is that only 1% of Christian's seem to have gotten a grasp on this. Eckhart was one of the few. I laid it out, step by step in an easy to understand way for people in the video I shared. I would say teachings like this are very rare to find but 100% biblical. Oneness/Union with God is one of my favorite subjects to immerse myself in.. sadly most modern evangelicals abandoned the topic, even though Jesus Christ taught it thoroughly. So I've looked back to older ministers like Eckhart, John of the Cross, Madam Guyon for some inspiration. And most Christian's have no qualms with my in depth looks into Oneness with God because it's very Solis Scriptura, while at the same time being scarcely mentioned or discussed about any where in the church today.

Esoteric Christianity does not need blood and a dead jew on a cross...All for the masses. To experience Gnosis is to 'Gnow' GOD...That which is everywhere and nowhere, it has no name, but it is everywhere ! I live in a state of constant amazement now entering my last phase of life. Suffering was key and suffering will bring much Gnosis to many of those that are asleep. Many will never awaken.Above all else, there is no fear. That is the key.

Carl Jung's "Psychology and Alchemy" brought me here. He meeting God in the temporal (unconscious), using symbols in the unconscious to help bring out soul out of spiritual poverty. Getting to know one's self is a process of God's doing (individuation). Religious experience mostly is from the unconscious. Wholeness of being, and the idealization of man (The Self). Interesting stuff....

(I'm 70 and have been at this since my late teens.) I have had dreams that when I meditated on their possible meaning they revealed aspects of my psyche that helped me to understand myself even more. Those were not the dreams from the divine, although some were, which revealed things that helped me to mortify the flesh and advance in my spiritual journey.

It's pure heresy to reduce genuine spiritual experiences to the "unconscious" (an invented term by psychologists to explain the unexplainable). Pure materialistic modern thinking. Throw that shit out. The soul is real and is incorporeal, and has nothing to do with mind, everything to do with God.

what is your take on the Vedic Cast system? This is the area that i do not agree with in Hindu and Buddhist philosophies
@naveenkumaruthamanthil35799 жыл бұрын
Caste system or varna system is intrinsic in every human society. It's not a hindu or Buddhist system. The vedas merely made an observation on What actually existed. These are based on human gunas and karmas and not on birth (made very clear in the philosophical texts)
@n3nshat119 жыл бұрын
Naveenkumar Uthamanthil yes of course society can mimic what the caste system looks like because of how the economy works and the hierarchy made thereof. But the cast system suggests its all part of a karmatic existence as you suggested. I do not think that people are born into a social class and have to be in that social class for the remainder of their lives. This is what the karma bounty suggest so-to-speak. One must fulfill their cast system roles inorder to ensure proper karma. That is very sensitive slope to suggest all must follow hierarchy structures. This is very totalitarian to me.

+n3nshat11 God is not a person. Stop treating Him that way. He is most High and most incomprehensible and beyond the world. He does not directly intervene in the world. God has no intentions. He needs nothing. He is perfect. Even in calling Him Him we debase Him.
@tomgeorgearts8 жыл бұрын
+n3nshat11 Many Eastern traditions avoid describing God as a human-like personality which exists seperate from the world, and decides to intervene or not. They see God as literally present in everything and not seperate. I think Eckhart's teaching was perhaps closer to this than mainstream Christianity at the time (and now!), but the idea of a divine being was still the dominant way of discussing God.

Wrong video...we are not discussing about the existence of God or his participation in the world.
@carlf28428 жыл бұрын
I have an opinion on that and it helps me. there are two parts. firstly God is not necessarily in the accident but in the conversation we have within ourselves( those involved directly,indirectly, left behind,etc) to deal with the event. when I say conversation I mean duality,two persons two minds in one body comuning not just a monologue. secondly what would you like God to do? beam the effected party to another location like startrek? we have free will , people make bad decisions and they sometimes result in tragic accidents. And for that we have gods forgiveness for how could the human condition be experienced/lived without tragity. I like a happy life but without pain how would you know what happyness is?
