THE NEED TO HEARKEN TO THE WORD OF THE MAN OF GOD

It is important to heed the voice of the man of God, as he is the oracle of God (1 Peter 4:11). He speaks as God leads him. Ahaziah despite the presence of Elijah, the prophet of the land (1 Kings 17:1-18), King Ahaziah sought counsel from Baalzebub, the god of Ekron, instead of the man of God. As a result, Ahaziah died of his infirmity.
