Hello, I included a picture of an object that (at least) looks like the grip from a flintlock pistol. I found it in the same area (I deleted the footage because it was very short, I also didn't liked it). But because I was asked by someone in a comment, if the object I found in my previous video could be a flintlock pistol grip (which was not the case), I decided to include one here (it comes from the same spot anyway). I'm always showing one hunt only (I never mix footage from different hunts) - in this case 2 pictures at the end are an exception (I just want you to know that). When I found the grip, I immediately thought that it could come from a pistol, but the width of it at the bottom was a little bit "too much" (in my opinion). Maybe it is one, maybe it isn't. Thanks for watching. Have a great day or evening.

Another great hunt. You study the area carefully. You know what is good and what may not be. You study the land and the soil. Who was there and how the area might have been used. You are " The Master." Thanks again for all your hard work. Stay safe.

A small suggestion: Woodlines (where open land and woods meet) are often VERY good places to detect. Especially in Europe, many of these have changed very little in several hundred years. In Western Germany and several other places many of the old farm tracks are now paved, and on those there will be lots of modern trash. Still not bad, just a lot of work. Find spots where there are no paved trails. Where woods and open land meet. It will pay off. Also, right AT the woodlines there is usually a lot of thick brush, vines, thorny bushes, etc. Wait until fall/winter and get in there. Chances are they've never, ever been detected.

Hello 24 , another good hunt ! Thanks for taking us with you . Lots of interesting finds . The needle looks like a tool called a pick for cleaning out touch hole on flintlock gun where primer pan is ? It looks threaded on both ends . The gun butt looks real to me . gl&hh

Hello, thank you for this interesting information. I will look it up. Someone else in the comment above asked about hallmarks inside of the gun part and I could discover something. I add the picture here too: goo.gl/acMYCV Thank you very much, Have a great day/evening & HH.

Hallo.

I''m still amazed you only wear one glove. I always wear two even if they have holes in the fingertips
@MetalDetecting247 жыл бұрын
Hello, I don't like wearing gloves. I wear the left one mainly to wipe soil from the blade. I get minor scratches from sharp rocks on my right hand, but everything heals very quickly. I hope that nothing worse happens... Thank you & have a nice day.

Nice surface find!! An old Roman Buck knife!! I have always wondered how you avoid land mines?? Aren't you afraid of that? Also, do you have an archeology degree? When ever you search for your targets, you seem to do it with care and expertise. Good hunt!!
@MetalDetecting247 жыл бұрын
Hello Mr. Beepers, I guess land mines are avoiding me ;). I don't know, maybe there aren't that many lying around. But when I discover a bigger target, I try my best not "to hit the detonator"... I don't have an archaeology degree. I try to use my instincts and combine it with experience from previous hunts/areas. I hope to gain a little bit of knowledge in the future (that could help me analyze things quicker). For now it's just fun and practice in the field. It's still time for theory ;). Have a great day.

Looks like part of a ,billhook' blade. Farming tool but also used as a military weapon in medieval times until well into the 1500s.

so what are those triangular, round cone shaped objects? I find them all the time but have no idea what they are.
@MetalDetecting247 жыл бұрын
You mean the object from 1:13:33 ? I'm not sure either... Maybe it's part from an old geological survey instrument. It's just a speculation, I really don't know. Cheers.
@rocketboy0017 жыл бұрын
Yes, thats the one. Do you find many of them? I have asked around and nobody seems to know. It seems like there are too many to be geological or other type of measuring instruments. I may have 50 or so in my collection.

MD24...That small, handheld close up camera you use occasionally. Could you give me the description, maker, model? I did a search online and didn't see one like it.
@MetalDetecting247 жыл бұрын
Of course. The camera is called: "Mobius1 Action Cam". The attached lens is called: "Lens B". I don't know if they still sell this combination. You will find more info in this forum: goo.gl/Qg58vk To get the macro function, the lens has to be manually focused for a closer distance. This isn't very hard, but the case has to be opened (the warranty is lost). If you have more questions, just ask.

@MetalDetecting247 жыл бұрын

@MetalDetecting247 жыл бұрын
