This is the video review and demonstration over the Neewer gimbal on Amazon. For the price, it is the best gimbal on Amazon, and in the video, I show you why.

The bubble is absolutely worth when you mount gimble in vertical position😀

The plate can be reversed to gain extra range in either direction, making full use of the slot adjustment. I got my D7100 / Tamron 150-600 to free float by doing this, without the plate needing to dangle partially out.

Excellent instructions, easy to listen to, and you fully explain how to use the Neewer heavy duty gimbal. Probably saved me some money. I was going to try it with a Nikon D850 with the 200 - 500 lens, or an older 300mm f2.8, but I never thought about a longer Arca plate! Going to order one now. Subcribed and look forward to checking out more of your videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them and for sharing them.

Morning from South Africa 🇿🇦 😀 I loved your video. Here camera equipment is very expensive so I bought one of these gimbals to test for macro photography. Your information was great and very clear on the issues. We are at the tail-end of winter and I have the sticky problem however now I understand and can fix it. Keep making these videos. You are calm and clear in your delivery. It is like you are explaining how to disassemble a gun. Brilliant! Regards Donna

. Old Vid, but just to point out, these are OEM made. One company makes them, people buy them in bulk, and put their own brand name on them. Date now is 23.7.23 I've just bought the exact same gimble off UK eBay for £15 posted. ($19 USA) works perfect 😊

@Brooks Wildlife QUESTION That (__) round donut shaped cage you showed with the camera on it (at 02:19). Will that round cage work on that gimbal with a DSLR camera on it.? Thank you.
@BrooksWildlife3 жыл бұрын
No. That cage is too wide and gets in the way of the gimbal. You would have to move the camera forward too much to make it fit, and then you wouldn't be balanced anymore. It's the Zeadio Camera Stabilizer from Amazon if you'd like to see a better picture of it. In that scene, I had it mounted to a regular pan/tilt tripod head.

It has a grease that's very sticky so movements are not fluid and when you loosen the pan knob the entire assembly wobbles. At the base where it meets the tripod. I now have three Bieke bk 45 gimbal heads and they are far better than these Neewer brands.

No need to apologise for life getting in the way, it happens to all of us. A tip: please desist from starting every sentence with a superfluous and extremely irritating "So". I'm trying to get all those afflicted with this idiocy re-educated.
@BrooksWildlife3 жыл бұрын
I think that started when I first got comfortable talking to the camera. I didn't notice it until after I made a few videos. I've been working to correct it ever since. It annoys me when it just comes out, and it annoys me even more to have to edit it out so much.

complete waste of money. get what you pay for.
@williamgardner27393 жыл бұрын
Wimberley gimbal heads have roller bearings, last a lifetime. The cheap ones have nylon bushes and cheap sticky lubricant, they fall apart very quickly. I bought two of them, stupid me. Now i have a manfrotto 393 it`s lighter and better than the neewer and other cheap ones.

@@williamgardner2739 made the mistake once, arrived COMPLETELY stuck and was generally poor quality anyway.
@stacyadiaz3 жыл бұрын
@@williamgardner2739 Comparing an $80 Chinese head to a $500-600 Wimberly isn't even a fair comparison. That's like comparing a Ford Focus to a Mercedes E class sedan. This is obviously a budget head and the intended demographic isn't someone who can drop $600 on a head alone. Some guy figured out how to add a $15 thrust bearing and thrust washers to the Neewer head to correct the manufacturing shortcomings. You certainly get what you pay for but there are a ton of hobbyist that don't have disposable income.

YELANGU A17 gimbal head I use them to support my Canon 600mm f4 L is, Canon 400mm f2.8 L is and my 1DX MII and battery grips with 5Dm IV ,5D mii and two7D mii bodies. They are a bargain @ ADORAMA CAMERA. Less than $60.00 These gimbals are not ball bearing design but that's the beauty in them. When you wish to pan or tilt they start and stop and are smooth after disassembly, cleaning , greasing. Loosen and remove tilt knob soak the top in boiling water for about a minute to loosen the Allen key head screw holding tilt housing. Take out the componat clean with a rag & degreaser like Citrol in a spay can. Or a parts and brake cleaner from an auto parts store Reassemble tilt portion. Now remove lower pan knob and use an 14mm opened end wrench to remove the rest of the screw adaptor and pressure rod. Soak the pan portion in boiling water remove (both pan/tilt)large Allen screw using a 5/16 Allen key. Clean and a grease, Vaseline petroleum or use WD 40 White lithium grease 14oz spray can. This takes less than 15 minutes including boil time. I use one BIEKE 45 and two YELANGU A17. The BIEKE I just removed the pan and tilt knobs and sprayed degreasing brake & parts cleaner in the screw holes flushing with lite machine oil 3 in 1 brand. Filling with WD40 white lithium grease in14oz spray can down the tilt/pan threaded screw holes.
