Lyrics:
Go ahead and cry, little girl
Nobody does it like you do
I know how much it matters to you
I know that you got daddy issues
And if you were my little girl
I'd do whatever I could do
I'd run away and hide with you
I know that you got daddy issues, and I do too

Always gets me thinking… that I want that one person to fix and flip their life… make them forget they had issues…show them that I’ve been through that pain too but I’m more than willing to give my heart to make them see I can be…heh that sounds wrong but. You get the idea

lyrics: take you like a drug I taste you on my tongue You ask me what I'm thinking about I tell you that I'm thinking about Whatever you're thinking about Tell me something that I'll forget And you might have to tell me again It's crazy what you'll do for a friend Go ahead and cry, little girl Nobody does it like you do I know how much it matters to you I know that you got daddy issues And if you were my little girl I'd do whatever I could do I'd run away and hide with you I know that you got daddy issues, and I do too I tried to write your name in the rain But the rain never came So I made with the sun The shade Always comes at the worst time You ask me what I'm thinking about I tell you that I'm thinking about Whatever you're thinking about Tell me something that I'll forget And you might have to tell me again It's crazy what you'll do for a friend Go ahead and cry, little girl Nobody does it like you do I know how much it matters to you I know that you got daddy issues And if you were my little girl I'd do whatever I could do I'd run away and hide with you I know that you got daddy issues I keep on trying to let you go I'm dying to let you know How I'm getting on I didn't cry when you left at first But now that you're dead it hurts This time I gotta know Where did my daddy go? I'm not entirely here Half of me has disappeared Go ahead and cry, little boy You know that your daddy did too You know what your mama went through You gotta let it out soon, just let it out Go ahead and cry, little girl Nobody does it like you d.. for all those who didn't get it, usually, parental issues are caused by the parent leaving, not paying enough/pays excessive attention, being detached or aggressive, etc. due to these reasons, a child may grow up thinking that they were the ones at fault, which made their parents behave this way as if something was wrong with them. What happens in these cases is that these children often go out of their way to help/ be there for others either in order to either do what their parents were unable to do or fill voids caused by them. so the line "it's crazy what you do for a friend" means that a person with parental/daddy issues may do a lot for friends and others cause they have never had any relations with family, so they try hard to form relations with outsiders for peace or closure.

I don't really understand the meaning of the song. Can you explain please?
@oliviamaher2333
@oliviamaher2333 3 жыл бұрын
@@artmmmm8279 he’s talking to a girl about how he understands and accepts that she has a bad relationship with her dad and how that makes her feel uneasy trusting guys that she dates and he can relate to that and he wants her to know she’ll be safe with him and he’ll love her unlike her dad, because girls with daddy issues have trouble with dating because they fear they’ll be left or not enough, the same way their dad made them feel. And the last bridge in the song he talks about how he feels pertaining to his dad, and how even if his dad is gone and he tried to let him go and acts like he doesn’t care, deep down he wish he could tell his dad what he’s done and wants his dad to be proud of him. Further trying to make the listener who can relate feel understood and safe and know that it’s ok to feel that way bc so does he but that we’re enough and worthy of love and we’re strong and deserving of being proud of

As a girl that spent her life with no father present, that was always at work in another country and only came like 3 days per year home, a girl who's dad cheated on her mother but her mother didnt react and acted like nothing, ... this hits hard. Me and my brother watched my mom suffer and cry everyday. Luckily, he is young and doesnt understand. But this song hits so deep for me. I cry everytime i hear it.

Daddy issues is a psychological term to describe girls and women who felt a vacuum of some sorts through their father. It's not sexual per say, though there are documented cases of such being as so. Incest. However more often that not it's some form of absence or disconnection with a father. And yes, even death. And if that vacuum is still felt when she is older and has a boyfriend or husband, daddy issues may manifest themselves into sexual difficulties for the woman and her partner. A real man does not want to be your daddy. He wants to be your partner or your husband. If you treat him any differently, you're sabotaging yourself and your potential children. The lyrics to the song play up to the girls issues. As the narrator describes himself as wanting to be her daddy. It's a form of manipulation on the part of the man. A play on her weakness. Yet in the same breath, the girl/woman allows this to proceed, because of prior issues with her father. Filling an emotional void. Usually the woman grows up and overcomes these things. And that daddy figure ends up screwing himself. A smart man knows better and won't play a daddy role unless it's with his own children. Here is the definition of what daddy issues is: Daddy issues is an informal phrase for the psychological challenges resulting from an absent or abnormal relationship with one's father, often manifesting in a distrust of, or sexual desire for, men who act as father figures.

I just wish he could stayed but he left idky when ig i was 4 like he moved put of our house we still stayed in touch but it was very little and now it just doesn't exist like he'd call me once in ig 3 months or smtg like he doesn't even gaf abt me i don't understand how do u just forget ur daughter like that I'm currently 16 and ik it's been a while since he left and stuff butit hurts so much and everytime I listen to this song it makes me cry thinking abt the entire situation like what could have i done so he still could've stayed and my mom? She keeps on telling me how I am an disappointment and laughs at my face if i cry bcz it's too much and she tells me that I am being manipulative by crying like dude how I don't understand can I not even express my feelings or smtg without being called manipulative she also tells me that she is doing the part that my father could've done but it stills affects the fact that he left right? He could've stayed and we could've been a happy family but nah. Anyways I had a lot going on in my head so I vented out here and ily and thanks if u read the entire thing🥺 have a nice day ahead and I will always love u ! Bye!

@@BRUH-rj1mh he doesn't deserve you or your mother . You are not a disappointment . I'm so sorry you had to go through all this . Who knows if he didn't leave . He could have been a great dad or the one like mine abusive and just evil . And yes you can cry and no one can stop you from expressing your emotions . Hang in there buddy at this moment I personally can only say we can get out of this and we should get out . We don't belong here . And its not like running away or giving up . We just don't deserve this . Its not worth staying for. Don't forget to laugh its no one's business to control our emotions. Good day:)

It's Father's Day. I don't usually vent on the internet but I feel really guilty that I haven't greeted him today. It's like to me, no matter how shit of a person they are, you'd still feel guilty for treating them as bad as they do because you don't know what they're going through. And honestly, I'm facing that feeling right now. He is a bad father figure, but the thought about him just trying to hold himself together or trying to heal from something still lingers in my head. I wanted to hate him so bad, but the guilt just keeps staying there. Whenever I do hate him or blame him from something, it just turns into sadness, like, how am I feeling bad for him when he's a bad person? I just don't get it.

My father was always abusive and tried to kill my mother once, but I still find myself trying to make him feel welcomed when he comes home because the only time my siblings and I talk to him is about money and grades. He's an 1sshole, but I feel bad for him, and I'm trying to work on myself to stop caring for a person that doesn't even regret his past actions (a.k.a hurting me and my family). What I'm trying to say is, that it's okay to feel like you need to be kind to your father, but was he kind to you when you were a child ? Did he try to spend time with you ? Did he make sure you lived in comfort and showed you support no matter what ? Now that you are out of his house and he's getting older and older, he wants to be with you after treating you so badly. You were just a little kid, he was a grown up conscious adult, a parent. You shouldn't feel bad for treating him like this, because he didn't feel bad treating you like that and maybe worse when you were vulnerable and dependent of his care. For me, the best course of action would be to cut them out of your life, but maybe you should see a therapist to rearrange your feelings and to see what kind of options you could consider. But in the end, it's up to you and only you. I send you my greatest support and hope life will get better for you :)❤

When I was younger my father was EXTREMELY abusive to my mother, physical and mentally but he was sweet to me and my brother and loved us. But one day when I was around 5 years old and he malested me. I remember everything. That day changed everything, he wasn't ever present and didn't try to fight for us. 2 years ago he killed himself and I know this sounds bad but I'm a little relieved. I can finally feel safe away from him.
