The one thing I love about this song is that it can be portrayed in many different ways. 1. It's about a crush. 2. Being scared to shared your inner feelings with people. 3. Being shy and not taking at all. People will never know which one.

Or about an abusive relationship?
@Notknown90265 жыл бұрын
I think this song is more about an abusive relationship, where one is the abuser and the other is the victim. ''you got me nervous to speak , so I just won't say anything at all''. I feel like this kind of tells us that the victim is clearly abused to the point where they can't do or say anything because of how traumatized they are and scared they feel. I feel like the abuser wants this person to be a certain way and the victim just fucks themselves up both mentally and physically so they can please their partner. They want to feel loved and wanted but whatever they do is never good enough

This song has special meaning to me. If someone read this, I’ll be very thankful. When I was on 6th grade, I had a teacher who excluded me all the time, literally he would ignore me completely. I would raise my hand to answer some question and he would point at me, say “hmmm” and then point the kid behind me. He would ask for applauses for every student that gave an answer except for me (on those rarely occasions that he would let me answer). He gave me lower grades than the ones I used to have (I was excellent) and then told my mom that I never participated in class. Since then, my self esteem completely dropped to the ground. I became anxious all the time. When I got to 7th grade (middle school in my country) things got worse, my grades were terrible, I never participated in class, I just thought “No one wants to hear what I have to say”, and as if this wasn’t enough, middle school is the stage where girls are becoming pretty, having boyfriends, hanging out, etc. but with my self esteem touching the ground and me being anxious as fuck, this wasn’t possible for me. I stucked with my best friend since elementary, but she started making new friends from 8th and 9th grade, which I couldn’t. I was too nervous to speak to someone, I just though nobody wanted my friendship. I met another friend from my class, and she was so incredibly beautiful along with my other friend, that I just felt like a complete piece of shit next to them. Then, I had to move to another city, and it was the most difficult thing for me. Because I had my two best friends and then the next day I had nothing. Making new friends was so difficult for me, I spent lunch locked in the restroom crying bc while I was there feeling like shit, my two best friends were happily hanging out with their new friends. I felt that way pretty much all my middle school years, until 9th grade it was that I could make a stable group of friends. But I still felt little next to everyone. I still do. Since that teacher, I changed completely, and I hadn’t realized that until I asked myself “what happened to me?” I used to be bright, happy, an extrovert and ashamed of nothing”. I talked no one if they didn’t talk to me first. I avoided at all costs presentations at school. I even became afraid to order food, even through a phone call, once I cried bc I didn’t want to order in the drive-thru at McDonald’s. And all that time my mom was just calling me ridiculous and spoiled. It was until 10th grade that I decided to speak up. And it was thanks to another teacher. My english teacher. He was so fun and his classes were so dynamic that I had panic attacks every single class. He would randomly pick students to come to the front and dance, sing or do mimics. Every single morning I woke up nervous, and I started hating my favorite subject because of that. It took me a lot, and a lot of courage specially that day to stand up, approach him and ask him to talk privately with him, but I finally did, I spoke to him, told him how I felt and asked him if he could exclude me from his activities. I was asking some teacher to do what another teacher did to me years ago. Wow. He understood. Next I talked to my mom, told her how I was feeling all those years and that I couldn’t stand it anymore, that I needed help. So she took me to therapy. My therapist has diagnosed me with social anxiety due to a PTSD, and depression. If you’re still reading this, thank you, and I just wanna let you know how some little action of you towards someone can affect them to long term, so be careful and nice. Because while I’m here writing this feeling bad he must be having lunch with his family. He probably doesn’t even remember me. But I do and always will. “Last year I fell flat on my face, and last month I knew something’s should change, last week I started over again. Ask me and I’ll tell you how I’ve been” “You got me nervous to speak, so I just won’t say anything at all”

Lyrics for you: Nervous: Verse 1] Maybe I shouldn't try to be perfect I confess, I'm obsessed with the surface In the end, if I fall or if I get it all I just hope that it's worth it Last year I fell flat on my face And last month I knew somethin' should change Last week I started over again Ask me and I'll tell you how I've been Mhm, don't get me started You've got me nervous to speak So I just won't say anything at all I've got an urge to release And you keep tellin' me to hold on You've got me nervous to move So I just won't give anything to you You got me turnin' all around to be who you need me to [Verse 2] Should I be quiet? Uh, come on, be silent Uh, you know I'm tryin' So don't say nothin' Uh, tell me you trust me and Kiss me and hug me, yeah Well, I would do anything for ya You just gotta love me and I got an itch in my throat I don't know which way to go I keep on switchin', I know I need a different approach It's all because I wanna Show you that I'm so capable [Chorus] You've got me nervous to speak So I just won't say anything at all I've got an urge to release And you keep tellin' me to hold on You've got me nervous to move So I just won't give anything to you You got me turnin' all around to be who you need me to [Refrain] Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, don't you say another word, be quiet Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, when you do, I just get hurt [Verse 3] Come on, baby, don't you hurt me anymore I'm not the same way that I was before I got goosebumps all over me When you're around, hard for me to breathe Come on, baby, don't you do that anymore It's not like the days have never felt so short My nerves, they give me a sign Tell me I'm not fine, mum You've got me nervous to speak So I just won't say anything at all I've got an urge to release And you keep tellin' me to hold on You've got me nervous to move So I just won't give anything to you You got me turnin' all around to be who you need me to [Refrain] Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, don't you say another word, be quiet Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, when you do, I just get hurt [Outro] Hush, baby Hush, baby Hush, baby Hush, baby

So many artists pump out a large variety of songs which is fine and all but there often ends up being a lot of hit and misses. I always love to read the KZbin comments on the music videos I like. I just want to say I feel proud to find people like you guys who share a good sense of music and leave comments that make me feel identified and related. Even if we don't know each other at all, you guys are special, and sometimes, just to find someone who has something in common with you,, makes me feel happier because I'm are not the only one.

NERVOUS LYRICS [Verse 1] Maybe I shouldn't try to be perfect I confess, I'm obsessed with the surface In the end, if I fall or if I get it all I just hope that it's worth it Last year I fell flat on my face And last month I knew somethin' should change Last week I started over again Ask me and I'll tell you how I've been Mhm, don't get me started [Chorus] You've got me nervous to speak So I just won't say anything at all I've got an urge to release And you keep tellin' me to hold on You've got me nervous to move So I just won't give anything to you You got me turnin' all around to be who you need me to [Verse 2] Should I be quiet? Uh, come on, be silent Uh, you know I'm tryin' So don't say nothin' Uh, tell me you trust me and Kiss me and hug me, yeah Well, I would do anything for ya You just gotta love me and I got an itch in my throat I don't know which way to go I keep on switchin', I know I need a different approach It's all because I wanna Show you that I'm so capable [Chorus] You've got me nervous to speak So I just won't say anything at all I've got an urge to release And you keep tellin' me to hold on You've got me nervous to move So I just won't give anything to you You got me turnin' all around to be who you need me to [Refrain] Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, don't you say another word, be quiet Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, when you do, I just get hurt [Verse 3] Come on, baby, don't you hurt me anymore I'm not the same way that I was before I got goosebumps all over me When you're around, hard for me to breathe Come on, baby, don't you do that anymore It's not like the days, at night, I feel so short My nerves, they give me a sign Tell me I'm not fine, mhm [Chorus] You've got me nervous to speak So I just won't say anything at all I've got an urge to release And you keep tellin' me to hold on You've got me nervous to move So I just won't give anything to you You got me turnin' all around to be who you need me to [Refrain] Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, don't you say another word, be quiet Hush, baby, don't you say another word Hush, baby, when you do, I just get hurt

I swear ive been hearing nbhd since 2018 but every month now and then, i’ve always discover a new song from them. Its weird how theres never a need to rush listening to their songs. I would settle for their songs one by one, and kept finding new ones and they always touch my soul.
