I lost my leg to a heroin overdose in 2016 and was in a coma for 2 months after. Started making beats like two years ago right after i finally got sober (yea i kept gettin high even after the amputation smh). I produced “you dont exist” for Nems. He killed that beat and it was on his album last year. Rare opportunity. Glad i didn’t die.

So between two individuals, one has had a horrible experience in drug addiction and survived intact, mentally and emotionally, suffered greatly and made his family and friends suffer (because obviously they've seen their loved ones calamity) and tried to help but he needed to help himself first. The second individual: paid attention in class when it came to drugs and alcohol and the effects and traumas it can befall everyone, so decided not to meddle in them and avoid all sorts of grief and anguish, also advised friends and family to avoid them and showed them how to live a good life without falling into addiction or pressures from people who don't give a damn about them. From the two; who should be advising and teaching kids and suffering adults on how to live life better and how to avoid drugs and shitty lifestyles. You can say both, which its nice to have all perspectives Yes, but the most effective and practical example between the two, which one would you say is most helpful for the youth?

depending a kid that obeys could be lectured by the person that never tried drugs but hey that's what most elementary school teachers try to do for the rebels and adolescence the second choice of a pass addicted or current addict should be enough to change their minds before they start using like a smoked out aunt uncle dad or mom usually keeps a person from wanting drugs might actually get them to despise them like it did for me my perspective has definitely changed since I was like young but around 17 I figured it wasn't nothing I could do just let them be n continue to love them but keep them at a distance you can't help people who wont help themselves a current addict wouldn't take advice from neither they need to have that revelation to change

I have a young nephew who's just now getting old enough to be mischievous. At his level of maturity he still thinks being bad is cool, so it's hard to -- for example -- explain how I got all the burn scars on my arms (non-union welding) without making it sound "cool." I've got a whole boatload of life lessons to pass on, but he's not ready to get the right message. And so, I do not yet try to teach through the example of my own mistakes, but I will at some point.

It is crazy how much this dude reminds me of my old best friend B Doc who passed away from an OD. Being from South Jersey and seeing way he moves and talks just reminds me of him. That was my neighborhood buddy we always did shit together got high all that but, stopped talking once each of us got really bad with heroin. Both of us got clean, he went to work at a rehab recovery place and we had one convo just to see how we been. Few months later he relapsed and that was it. Going on 9 years clean off dope and 2 out of 5 of the neighborhood crew dead both from OD's.

Ngl I can relate 100% it’s really awesome to hear another person talking about the same thing I’ve been through, it is not easy to talk about it because most people don’t understand what it’s like to live in a way like a drug addict who doesn’t value themself & willing to rob anyone to get the next fix. That’s how my life was until 2 years ago & ive completely changed 100% in every way, I am not anywhere near the same person I used to be during my addiction.
