Brad Wright I mean yeah a bit, but it's just kinda RLM doing what they do - they like to poke fun at themselves (they are very much SW fans - I mean just look at rich, LOOK at him) and the increasingly ridiculous culture that surrounds anything 'geek'. It's always been kinda ridiculous but lately it's mutated in the swampy depths of the Internet to become this monetized, often overly serious...crazy hype circus - that swings between frenzied pumping up of a new product or film one week and then damning it into obscurity for its smallest of faults the week after.....(The later of which they are probably all to aware they helped create with Plincett.)...It's a culture where fully grown adults are paid to sit around a desk and discuss Kylo Ren's cross guard like it's the Cuban missile crisis. Where orgiastic crowds of people scream at trailer footage of the millennium falcon like the 2nd coming Just popped out of someone's balls and started the rapture. I mean there's nothing wrong with all that really, people need to get paid and people like to get excited about things - it's just ripe for parody...until we learn to laugh at ourselves and take it all a bit less seriously. I mean fuck it I am definately a man child - If my wife walks into the room and catches me watching Dragonball - I pull the chord, hold my hands up in the air and 'admit' it was midget porn.

"The grittiness of this movie validates me as an adult who likes a children's fantasy series. A lot of fanboys seem to forget why they even liked something in the first place. They're so insecure about liking something that appeals to a wider audience than they want to admit, that they want to put it through a grimdark filter until it doesn't feel like the same thing anymore.

All I've seen lately is Star Wars fans applauding shit they know. I even read fans asking for a Darth Vader movie today. Like, seriously? A Darth Vader movie? YOU'VE LITERALLY HAD SIX ALREADY! And keep in mind, these will be the same arse holes that constantly bitch about Force Awakens for being similar to New Hope because they watched one Max Landis video, yet will praise shows like Star Wars Rebels which literally just meanders about cluelessly filling up each Season until another fan-favourite pre-established character can show up for people to care. This is exactly the therapeutic end I needed to my day of disbelief at fan culture. Cheers!

If you pay attention you can tell where the audio hard cuts and doesn't transition properly to the next shot or cut, where they had to cut off to another shot before everyone started laughing. Also the audio cut between the two consecutive shots is so close because they had to make up for the dead air in the editing timeline between the cuts after they removed the laughter. They laughed at Mike's jokes 2:10 and 11:16. They laughed at Jay's joke at 12:56. They laughed at Rich's joke at 4:23 and 14:23.

The Movie Trivia Schmoedown is fucking amazing, literally every major film syndicate on the internet participates (except RLM because they would get crushed): RottenTomatoes, What The Flick, IGN, Flickster, Chris Stuckmann, Jeremy, ScreenJunkies, Witwer, Machinima, etc. How do you think they manage to get all those different people from a variety of networks? Is it me or did Mike inject a little bit of John Campea into his voice?
@Lance37a7 жыл бұрын
Lol yes a little bit.
